I can see our need for a good full-forward, I just don't think Jenkins is that man for us. Despite being huge, he doesn't use his body well enough to take contested marks, I reckon. I'd rather have Josh Bruce or Charlie Dixon.

Definitely be interested in Josh Bruce for a few years.

I reckon Dixon is cooked from injury.

It's possible, but I thought he looked decent in round 23 vs Fremantle. Kicked 3.2 with 8 marks. Maybe our medical team can get him in better shape.

Just to be clear, there was no mention of any Rory’s coming to BRISBANE in particular, just that in his opinion, only one would be there come the end of the year. He didn’t mention any clubs. I couldn’t imagine Sloane leaving, so would assume he would be talking about Laird and Atkins.

I think at the time, both clubs though it was a win-win, so they shouldn’t have any troubles with our club personally. I think the pressure may potentially come from the wider AFL community and the media. I do think that they will start with a fairly high asking price though.

Unfortunately for the Suns, paying unders for one player doesn't generate overs for another. We will pay what he's worth to us.

At the time of the Cameron trade Adelaide supporter mate of mine said that they used lube in that trade has since changed he's tune this season apparently they didn't ask for enough

Id do pick 15 and Cutler for Laird. I dont think cuts is in fages future plans and i think hinge has a bit to offer in the future.

If keays want to go id be ok with that. He finally looked comfortable and confident playing in the firsts this year. Id like to keep him, a loyal academy lad that loves the club that has become good depth now. He never gives in and from what ive read he is great around the club.

Around 40% on this board thought we paid way overs too to be fair.

I was of the opinion that we could have held strong and got him for pick 18 and that 12 was a bit over.

Still reckon we just got it done instead of playing hardball where we may well have got him for 18. Obviously the club made the right call there.

I was told from someone that he heard sometime ago that Laird would be playing at the Lions next year. Said it came from someone who worked in the AFL media. He didn't really think much of it at the time.. but he is now 'convinced' since we are all of a sudden linked to him months later. This all has a feel about it.
