On the earlier question I’d go

1. Daniher
2. Martin
3. Ah Chee
4. Laird

Daniher is a big upgrade on McStay and could easily win a couple of Colemans

Martin could play a number of outside roles and fill a need. Similarly Ah Chee who is less proven

I’ve never been that big on us needing another back flank and Laird is an accumulator but isn’t damaging. Rich is better IMO and Witherden can play a similar role. Our backline needed a lock down small which it found in Answerth (also Adams strong form can free up Dizzy to play on marking smalls) or a small back with genuine line breaking speed like Conor McKenna or Brodie Smith.
Laird 2 time all Australian would fill the hodge role plus some If I was forced to pick between him and witho I'd pick laird in a heart beat.

Dodongo doesn't get the hate for Ceglar. He will be depth. We are in the window. If Martin goes down Dodongo doesn't trust Archie and Big O to handle it. Big O is better when he is playing ruck/forward and not rucking full time and Archie will never be an AFL ruckman and certainly won't be able to fill in. That is where Ceglar comes in. He is a competent Martin replacement.

Dodongo would also welcome Ah Chee and Martin in a heart beat. Both would thrive under Fagan.

Trust the club. They know what they are doing

If Daniher is someone that we chase and comes to Brisbane.
Would we then shuffle talks around and use Mcstay as a fill in role and punt Walker?
I'd be in favour of that. McStay is decent, but we can do better than decent. And Walker still has value to several clubs.

A bit off topic, but cotter I think you might still have Schache and Rockliff in your avatar?

Just displaying two of the players who’ve left us, that are about to miss out on the flag this year.

But yeah, good point. I’ll have to find a good replacement. Hopefully one of the current team holding the Cup. 👍🏽

Tex has stepped down as Adelaide captain. I wonder if it's a precursor to leaving. Not being captain might drive down his price a bit, and I'd gladly take him if the price was reasonable.

If he was up for offer 4 years ago, sure. But hes 29 and about as useful as **** on a bull.

Whilst it’d be a strange move he’d be a current upgrade as a KPF. Kicked 44 goals this year which has him behind only Charlie on our list.
