Why have we got rid of 4 solid depth players and only replaced them with one depth player. Feel like we have weakend our squad over this trade period, Hopefully some of the younger guys in the NEAFL step up.

65 followers, even Jaffa the local GC real estate agent has more.

If Mr Bods and GCSunsCast can’t yell and moan the Suns into relevance in front of their combined 90 followers... who can?

Might have changed after they got Aish and Acres

Was reported in passing on Trade Radio that he had also met with the Crows so that makes (GC, GWS, AC, FD & SS)

Seems like a very short-sighted approach to list management. Two 1sts is a massive price for Daniher given his injury history and would have set them up for the future.
Would it? Draft picks take time to develop and are not a guarantee of success. Particularly in this draft where picks 4-15 are supposed to be pretty even in terms of prospect quality. And there wasn't any big trade target keen on going to Essendon.

Injury history is irrelevant except for how serious the risk of the injury reoccurring is. If the Bombers think Daniher is going to make a full recovery and isn't at a big risk of the injury reoccurring, then 5 and 9 is definitely a fair price for a 60 goal per season forward, in fact you could argue it's unders. If the risk was great then they would have taken Sydney's offer.

with all due respect do you watch the NEAFL games and the kids you talk about?

Joe Daniher has kicked 60 goals in a season once in his career.
The closest, in any other season was 43.

I don't see your point. He has demonstrated he can kick 60 in a season when fit.

The point is pretty clear, you stated 5 & 9 is fair for a 60 goal a year forward.

To which Dlions responded with 'he's only done that once in his career'.

If he can kick 60 goals in a year when fit, but he's only done that once so far in his career then he's injury prone no?

A 60 goal a year forward, will show consistency of kicking 60 goals a year.
He does not.

So what if he's only done it once? If he's done it once he is capable of doing it again while entering his prime. I don't think I've ever argued that he hasn't suffered injuries, that is undeniable. What's also undeniable is his talent. As I said before, injuries are only relevant if they there's a significant risk of reoccurence, and it's possible this has a low risk. If so, Essendon did exactly the right thing.

In your opinion. One season of kicking 60 goals means he's a 60 goal a season forward in my book. Remember he's only 25 and is just starting to enter his prime, he's more than capable of doing it again.

I'd hate to see what people would give up for a 100 goal forward like Buddy.
Sydney got him for nothing!
As they might with Daniher next year?

There’s still no contract on the table for Bundy. I don’t understand it myself, really think he deserves at least a one year extension. Specially when we’ve lost Squizzy and they see Ah Chee playing off half back.

But he has a body of a 60 year old . He is overrated because he plays for one of the biggest teams in the land And the Name carries a bit aswell.
