Have also been working on a spreadsheet that has collated all counts on here and have averaged them out as the 'BF Brownlow 2020 Average Leaderboard'. I did this last year and posted it in the 2019 thread which ended up being a great resource. I was waiting for at least one more count but I guess I'll update it if anyone else wants to contribute their count towards it.

I decided to tail you on your leading vote gettors but taking out : Ess, Gold Coast Suns and Melbourne leaders for a 15 legged multi as well as a 13 fold.

This is what it looks like currently. The difference is the average votes of the next person. This helped me a lot inform my decisions, I didn't use it as an entire basis, because some teams have a variance, but it was a very helpful indicator. For example before I did this I put quite a bit of money on Jones, but now I'm not so sure it was that great a call.

Yeah brilliant use of the differences there. Definitely seems like Merrett/Fyfe/Petracca/Rowell/Mitchell are the truly safe picks, and odds reflect that. Although difference for Mitchell is a bit smaller, I haven't seen a tally yet that puts Wingard above 7, so IMO that makes Titch a bit safer as his average is 8.5, and no one has him below a 7.

I also really like Pendles from this too. Basically splitting hairs between him and Adams, but tbh their personalities on field are very different and I think that should get Pendles over the line. Adams is probably one of the players I see mouth of the most, compared to Pendles being essentially a golden child. I think I'm going to essentially avoid WCE/WBD/StK/NM except for some smaller plays

ive also decided to tail you on your 'Percentage ' plays based on your opinions. But left out : Melb, GC Suns, Ess for a 13 fold. Without sounding negative, I don't like the chances of Gaff, MacRae and Billings getting up. Also about 1/3rd of my stake on the multi involving your 15 legs.

Young Gun #6 , i also did a separate 13 fold involving 15 of your selections based on your initial count, with Sam Walsh and Ollie Wines.

Only need 13 of the 15 legs to get up.

As I speak Sportsbet have lowered Cripps into from $2.25 into $2.00 for Team leader votes. I'm aware that you have 1) Done your own count and 2) done a count based on your opinion. Happy to take them both on.

The common link in those votes seem to be Dalgeish, Margetts and Nicholls in my opinion. Maybe Nic Nat has been nice to them/on good terms with them- which always helps? or they just catch the umpires eye a bit more?

Games where Nic Nat is expected to poll according to the Betfair Brownlow predictor: Rounds 5, 9 , 11, 12 ,13. TJM has him polling in rounds 13 and 17. Those 6 potential games where he could get votes, these are the following umpires:

Round 5 umps for Eagles game: Nicholls, Williamson, Dore
Round 9 umps for Eagles game: Dalgeish, Chamberlain, Power
Round 11 umps for Eagles game: Dalgeish, David Harris , Williamson
Round 12 umps for Eagles game: Margetts, Williamson, Johanson
Round 13 umps for Eagles game: Rosebury, Broadbent, Haussen
Round 17 umps for Eagles game: Gavine, Fleer, Hosking


The games with Nicholls, Dalgeish, Margetts , if past games are any indication- he may not need to woo or seek the required attention to get the votes.

I don't think there's a link. Dalgleish & Margetts are from WA so would do more WA games

I could not determine who gets the 2. I remember the game well and thought Higgins played a great game and was very silky with the ball in hand.

Remember that game clearly, Higgins was good and got a lot of the ball but I thought Wingard was the difference between the two sides. I gave him a pretty clear 3, I'd be shocked if he didn't at least get the 2

Edit - I do think Mitchell wins Hawks count but I wouldn't be touching him at what he's priced at personally, you'd hate to have that as the only leg that goes under of a multi

No issue at all if Wingard gets 3v in the North game. That would get him to 7 on my count ( even tho the 3 would surprise me ) and well off Titch.
Higgins will be close to doomed for the North votes if he doesn’t pick up 2-3 in the Haw game though so more importance with him in that one.

I’ve got a lot riding on Pendles to top Collingwood votes. But I really think Adams pips him in the last round by a couple votes.

This Walsh count scares me a lot. I've got a couple without Cripps winning, but not many.

I wouldn’t worry about the last round as doubt either of Adams or Pendles will poll.
I think all the votes go to Port guys.
The big Pendles game vs Bris r15 hopefully has you on good terms with yourself.

Have pored over the comments in this forum and gotten team vote summaries of everyone that I've been able to find who's done comprehensive tallies. Each sheet represents a different commenter's votes, and I've also thrown in the Betfair tally. Am keen to add other tallies so anyone with one feel free to send through and I'll add it.

The final sheet I've gotten each person's tally, and then averaged the votes for individual players to find what the general consensus is. It's obviously somewhat flawed, as some people didn't include particular players in their counts, so I just ommitted those counts and they don't contribute to the averages. The worksheet is also pretty messy. If we get more people submitting tallies though, the larger our sample, the more accurate it should hopefully be. Will attach link below. It's also pretty messy but in the sheet labeled 'Aggregate', you basically can scroll to the right and you'll see most notable players. I didn't bother with Richmond as I don't want to touch that market.

That is just fantastic work - really well done.

One minor thing with mine - while I'm aware a couple of posters have a bee in their bonnet over how many projected votes I have Sheed on - I don't have him winning the WB votes also :). WB I have Bont 14 and Macrae on 13.

Funny !

I’m not so sure that there’s any bee in the bonnet about Sheed, just a lot of discussion the past couple of days re Nicnat.
