If Marshall gets injured he's a maybe. Otherwise he'll be a poor pick.

Age and Marshall against him.
It was a joke bro

Sorry but given the quality of the teams and advice around here... Lets just say I've seen much worse advice posted on this board. In fact I may well have been responsible for some of it myself.

Just try and out shit post me, I dare you :moustache:

You have no hope. I recommended Aaron Vandenburg as a value pick to someone a few weeks ago.
Been on their list for 6 years for 32 games would you be selecting him as a POD?

I had him last year he was good in the first half of the year but after the byes only scored over 100 once and had plenty of scores in the 70s definately not D1

And yet here we are 😂

Who else is starting the Chad? Training with the Mids, has good history at PA as an on baller as well as the back end of last year at the Hawks. With the Hawks increasing their FWD potency I think he adds awesome variety and depth to their on ball brigade, and I think 95 isn't out of the question. What do we think?

Thinking strongly about it. A lot of our fans are excited (as you would expect) about Chad in 2020. Seems like he's a bit more engaged with footy than in recent years and now understands the Hawthorn game plan. I'll be watching the preseason games to see if he looks switched on.

I think it depends on who is hitting it down to the mids. If it's big boy maybe but if it's Ceglar forget it

Looks like Cegs will be first choice ruck but I don't think it will make much difference. Mitchell and Worpel would be the ones most effected by poor ruck service. And he ain't that bad anyway!

Over the last 4 seasons Wingard has only played over 20 games once. Durability definitely a concern. No doubt his average will be high though if he has that mid role. But can his body handle extended periods as a mid. On the fence with him at the moment

When did Wingard start playing mid?
From Rd 18 where he recorded 20+ possessions in every game to finish the year he scored 62,79,81,91,98,112 = av 87
eh.

I think it's more than just going ehh he averaged 87.

He started with an 88, 81, 79 and then built to scores of 98, 91, 112. His average in the role at that point was 92. His last game he had 28 touches (10CP, 7CL and 6 clangers) with 5 marks and 5 tackles for a 62. That is definitely an anomaly. Those type of numbers on any given day would see scores of 95+ which fits that 95 profile you'd want for a forward. When you add in his price at 412k and a full PS there's genuine hype and for good reason.

Now if you add in his Mid scores at PA - 116, 105, 89, 122, 107, 105, 83, 114, 105, 97, 80, 110 ~ avg 102.75

Not to mention he's averaged 98 as a second year player as well as full year averages at 98 (4th year) and 93.
Now if you wanna talk missed games, he'd missed 13 games in 7 seasons before the season just gone - He'd played 141/154 possible games. Pretty durable if you ask me. 27 this year so he's at the ripe age and should be in a winning team with great extractors to let him use his class on the outside as well as inside.

My honest opinion - he's low risk, in a forward line where we are screaming for value picks. In a MID role with stints FWD he should have a very good floor (80ish) with a low ceiling but has the ability to easily go over 100.

good points
that 88 point score you included was from a 15 disposal, 2 goal, 1 goal assist game so I thought this was more likely a forward role rather than someone playing significant midfield. Could be wrong.

Just very simply. based off his history you'd suggest he has somewhat of a bounce back year. Has always performed well after a preceding down year.
