Anyone know why next weeks game vs Freo hasn’t been relocated to AO, given it is our home game and both clubs can travel here freely? Makes no difference to Freo getting back to Perth either, in fact it’s closer!

Probably because hotels have already been arranged and paid for, stadiums would have already organized staff and things like that.

It's a nonsense that both SA teams need to play in Melbourne when COVID community infections are out of control... as both sides will likely have to quarantine.

We should tell the AFL we won't put our players health at risk & only play games outside Victoria until they get their sh*t on order.

The VAFL are a ******* joke of an organisation l pandering to selfish interests at the expense of health concerns.

It legitimately sounds like our clubs would have to quarantine to get back into SA after the round 7 games, assuming borders don’t open, ****ing ridiculous! They’re wasting the AO who can actually have crowds, surely they’ll be kicking up a stink too?

It’s hardly a surprise given the conditions all clubs are playing under with training restrictions and no games for 3 months with minimal training

Given they can’t do contact training or full drills you’d think they’d at least Be working on fitness and skills.

Given they can’t do contact training or full drills you’d think they’d at least Be working on fitness and skills.

Doesn’t make a huge amount of difference if you aren’t able to replicate those skills under much contact pressure at training, nothing can beat that.

The Suns will still be playing games up in the Queensland hub after this hub finishes, missing out on two teams with small supporter bases in Queensland is hardly going to break the bank. They would also be operating on skeleton staff. Any thoughts for AO who is just sitting there making no money, despite being allowed half capacity crowds?

My understanding is that they will fly over as soon as they play their R6 game in Melbourne. They will then play each other, inside a bubble (don't ask me how this works) in R7. They will have done 14 days quarantine by the time they play the WA teams in R8 & R9.

WA govt have obviously approved that. Perhaps our govt not so flexible.

I’m totally with you on rd7, 100% should be back in Adelaide.
Im just seeing it from a perspective that things would have already been arranged and the staff involved from hotels to security would have already been contacted to work.
I’m sure it could be changed but there’s no way it will be.

He's got one AA in Matt Crouch, and has got a bit unlucky his main midfield prospects came along when we just stopped being a functional team.

That said, give it about 2-3 years and that tune should hopefully change with Jones and McHenry living up to their ceiling. Both have enough tools to be at least in the twilight zone of very good but not AA calibre (and I'd have Jones at an AA ceiling).

In a way I hope it all bites the AFL in the ass.

We know sooner or later that continuing to play games in CoVic is going to end up being a disaster.

As usual it's all about Victoria and it looks like it doesn't matter how disease ridden CoVic becomes they'll continue playing there and just hope for the best.

When it all eventually falls over the AFL will only have themselves to blame.

Then trot off to Canberra cap in hand begging for money.

Clearly the Giants haven't worked it out yet. Don't they know that Sauce thrives on constant workload? That's why you have to play him week after week, no matter how he performs.
