I have been thinking the same thing. The website is absolutely terrible.
-It doesn't show the matches along the top anymore - so if you want to find if there is a game on you have to awkwardly find some way to get to the match centre
-Hard to find what was once easy. Struggled finding Womens footy earlier
-Hard to find basic info such as team announcements - usually hidden in some sub-menu or as a link in an article
-Match centre - couldnt view stats on PC all pre-season
-Match centre - stats/reports/highlight for previous games of years past seems to no longer be there since format change. Probably gone forever.
-Match centre - cannot sort by column/team etc. What a pathetic oversight.
-Match centre - All these stupid drop-down menu's.
Gonna be interesting to see how this unfolds.Danger told me that it's just a hobby for supporters, isn't he running the AFLPA fighting for the players to get full pay. So far up himself it's unbelievable
I cannot begin to describe how terrible the new AFL.com.au website is. The match center is an absolute crime against website design and usability. Disgraceful

That wil be the thing that makes them want to stop playingGonna be interesting to see how this unfolds.
Got a feeling the players egos will drop hugely the next few weeks.
What are those leagues doing now ??Soccer leagues in Europe have had to play in front of empty stadiums plenty of times for various reasons
Everyone will put up with it and eventually we'll come out the other side
The one thing that gets me is the players are going to great lengths not to shake hands but will spend 2 hours belting into each other and tackling.
Weird.
100%I think they're only doing it for the morons complaining about shaking hands on social media.
The reality is the contact nature of the sport will spread the virus between them so avoiding handshakes is pointless
What???What are those leagues doing now ??
Oh that's right.
Here's my list of gripes:
- There's no quick access to anything on the homepage except for news. No matches, no scores, no teams, no stats. Just news. In fact if you scroll down the only other thing you'll find are videos
- There is no link anywhere for the current AFL injury list. I had to Google it. There is, however, a link to "galleries" which haven't been updated since September 2019
- The team line-up page is available via a drop-down menu link, but its design is horrendous. The teams actually aren't visible unless you click to show them for every match. The goal here seems to be to show changes to the teams, but currently on my 4K monitor I can see a maximum of two matches at a time. If it's going to be a simplified layout, it has to be concise and readable at a glance. This requires a massive amount of scrolling to see NINE lines of text
- Oh wait, the injury list is available via a link in the line-up page. How does that make sense? Should be it's own option
- The line-up page doesn't show emergencies. This information is available in the AFL app though. It was also available in the old design
- The Match Center is a disgrace. The first item is the score and timeline as you'd expect. But then the next element while scrolling are... videos? Then line-ups (still no expanded view). And that's it!? The match report is in a separate tab! The line-ups page thankfully shows the entire team but still no emergencies. You can't click on any player's name to produce detailed stats. There are no quick links to other matches unless you click on a pop-up in the bottom right corner. Who puts anything in the ******* bottom right of a desktop web page!
- The player stats page in the Match Center is just a huge list of numbers with no ability to sort it. And check out the color coding for the Richmond Carlton game. Both teams numbers are the same ******* color! It's the worst stat page design you could possibly come up with. Not to mention it's missing three quarters of the stats you can get in the AFL app.
- The team stats page takes longer to load than I can scroll and I have a lightning fast PC with 500 Mbps internet. It's the least dense design you could possibly use and the vertical graph design is horrible for desktop usage.
- Team Rankings page, again no way to sort the data. This is a BASIC feature of a statistics spreadsheet. ******* unbelievable.
- Stats Pro was unavailable for the entire off season only to return with ZERO changes. Why make that feature inaccessible if you're not going to update it in any way? Or if anything, make statistics harder to access and view across the entire website.
- When you want to watch a video you have to click on it twice. First to make the video full screen (it shows you maybe 10% more information on this screen) then again to play it. Why!? I've already selected to watch it, just play it!

About to start up again in AprilWhat are those leagues doing now ??
Oh that's right.
Seen people noting / complaining about the afl having security staff in the empty stadiums. I look at it a different way in that they are still being employed and able to earn money in these times in a lower risk setting
Not if he close to the hospital, he has a business that will survive, the Odd free Coffee just to announce with free publicity that I am here and selling coffee thru these trying times would have been worth every free cup of coffee.Saw something on TV last night that was odd. Some cafe owner giving free food/drink to hospital staff because they feel sorry for them being overworked. He’ll be out of business and staff out of jobs in a few weeks and they’re feeling for employees in a boom sector who would be earning penalty rates for every extra hour worked. It’s one of life’s great mysteries that people who extract maximum value from the taxpayer for doing nothing more than their job are placed upon these lofty pedestals.
In normal times but they are putting themselves at risk everyday they go to work at the moment whilst many of us are sent home to work.Saw something on TV last night that was odd. Spoke to the checkout lady at woolworths yesterday morning and she said she had been spat on by an old guy.Declare your conflict first. Seriously though, that’s the very definition of the job they get paid to do. There’s less than 1,000 cases country wide, how many hospitalised? As an example, the Finke Desert Race would put more stress on the Alice Springs hospital than Corona has thus far. It’s not like we’re Italy yet. Supermarket staff would be experiencing greater Corona stress and nobody is giving them free anything except expletives.
