SA no longer opening borders with Vic on July 20, surely we are getting a hub now the AFL know for sure they can’t fly in and out?

More likely we end up playing in a hub in NSW or Tasmania. Not sure we'll get too many games at AO now.

Just lucky no players from WA or SA have young families or anything like that.
Our training session at Barossa was touted as a competitive advantage.

What competitive advantage is there is staying home, seeing your kids each day and sleeping in your own bed. Compared with multiple weeks away from home.

This is where any notion of the AFL penalizing a club for a supposed competitive advantage of one training session falls down.

Cochin back on the whinge train about hubs.

Typical Victorian fan response

I’m sure your not married or have kids to go home to, but I would think family is the number 1 priority, yes the AFL players get paid well, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot be wth your family. This could be 4-6 weeks away from home, sorry but I couldn’t

Only option is to call a two-week suspension of games whilst Victorian teams travel to SA/WA/QLD/NT to self isolate. Then play all games there for a month and re-assess.

Or they could just call the whole bloody thing off, which would make too much sense.
Don’t need to really. Could easily have a split round. Teams who play Thursday and Friday play against each other in hub or have a week off. Then they play Sunday which they would have completed their Quarantine period.

It's crazy how quickly these Victorian players sook it up when WA/SA teams are already in hubs right now just dealing with it

Just further shows how Vic Centric this whole competition is.

Completely absurd for a national comp for one state to have all the control.

Why not? What’s the difference with the WA hub? The SA clubs were promised more home games at the backend to makeup for the Queensland hubs

Eddie got on the front foot early with Collingwood and 'welcomed the plan to go to Perth and play'. No excuses

Because politics. Watch them punish us for today's announcement.

Gotta love how this shit gets reported.

''SA'' has ''thrown a spanner in the works''... nooooooo, that would be the state that hasnt got it shit together, and the dopey league that couldn't see it coming.

..."prompting the idea that hubs in New South Wales, Western Australia, Tasmania or the Northern Territory might be the only viable way to continue the AFL season without compromising the integrity on the game."
