As someone without FOX i'd only seen bits and pieces of Whateley and I guess hadn't quite got the hate that lots of people seem to have for him - It's not that I liked him, I just didn't have an opinion

But based on a selection of quotes from this season, and randomly happening to be in a car when SEN was on during the Barrossa "Camp" breach, he is a friggin hypocritical, self serving, pile of sanctimonious shit

And that's the polite version.

Seriously, the AFL need to stand up, can't virtue signal on BLM and then say "guys with sex assault charges...A-OK to play". It isn't the 80s anymore, pull your heads out of your arses, De Goey should not be playing

I can only assume the VFL have cancelled Women's round this year

The reason they want it a5 the G is because it creates a precedent. The contract with the MCC will have been broken therefore it can be renegotiated if necessary.

The MCC can b*tch and moan all they like if it isn’t played there this year and can try and get compensation however if the government won’t allow crowds then the GF can’t be played there. It is that simple, no crowds = no money for AFL.
A Port v Bris GF at the MCG in front of no crowds would be pretty funny...with Brisbane winning of course

On the footy side of things....

Hately back in for the Giants as an injury replacement for Toby Greene.

I love that the media is STILL going after us, yet Essendon, who drugged all their players to obtain an unfair advantage over the rest of the comp, potentially putting the future health and well being of their players at serious risk, is barely ever mentioned in the "scandal" page......nothing like being a club outside of Victoria is there...

Pretty sure everyone who was involved in that scandal for Essendon are all gone?

We on the other hand still have the exact same stakeholders overseeing this club. That camp is going to come up time and time again until Chapman, Fagan and Riccuto are gone.

Essendon board really didnt change that much post the drugs scandal...it is now just an easy media story, beating up on a club that (for whatever reason) fails to adequately protect itself. On that point, I cant for the life of me understand how the club did not (and apparently does not) make the players enter into non-disclosure agreements (particularly those ones that have left pre their contracts being ended).

******* Whately again. What a sh*t hack he is.
+1

I will continue to say this forever.

In '98 the Crows were the only team to have ever traveled 5 consecutive weeks on the road to win the flag against a Victorian team at home. Those road trips, involved, trips to WA, Victoria and NSW.

It will never be repeated nor is possible to win a flag in this manner ever again.

Victorian teams living in a hub and playing at the same ground, is not f**king traveling, FFS.

Really happy to see Michael Frederick getting a game at Freo.

He's a good friend of my son and my son used to play footy with both brothers (his twin brother Martin is at Port). I've met him a few times, he's a really hard worker and has really worked on his game last year so his selection is very well deserved.
