I’ve got a feeling GWS will trade down from pick 2 with either Richmond or Hawks .

this is how I see the top 6 or so playing out

pick 1. North JHF
Pick 2. GWS trade pick to Richmond who choose Callaghan (don’t think they bid on anyone else)
Pick 3: Gold Coast who pick Daicos. Matched by Collingwood
Pick 4: Gold Coast pick Mac Andrew
Pick 5: Crows trade with Hawks
Pick 6: Hawks pick Hobbs or Ward
Pick 7: we pick Rachelle Rachelle
Pick 8 : freo pick Erasmus
Pick 9: GWS bid on Darcy and is matched by the Dogs
Pick 10; GWS pick Gibcus

This is our worst case IMO

My point is ....you don't need to publicly state, simply entertain offers behind the scenes

I do like that ADEL don't come out and give a public update on trades ......or use public statements as part of their negotiations .....classy

If we are talking about Roberts he mainly played on ball in the centre square most of the day , his work rate to get to the outside and get more ball in the last quarter really stood out and was a good effort when his team needed him

his inside / contested ball game was average at best , I don’t think he becomes an above average inside midfielder

his best bet might be to get to a super endurance level and play a lachie hunter type role

Closest player to Toby Greene in this draft, better junior than Cody Weightman IMO.

And remember Toby Greene can play midfield it's just that team wise he's way more valuable forward.

And he's plenty quick enough too.

Crows have emphasised their need for pace in every interview since season's end. He has pace - his consistency seems to be in question. However.if the Crows really feel that they have a very good shot at getting Rankine next year, then they won't pick Rachelle.

I'm not a fan of small fwds as top 10 picks ......I sneered at MELB taking Kosi Pickett ....can look at those types from 2nd round onwards

Is Rachelle dramatically offering anything that we already don't have on the list (McAdam) ......not IMO

Yes ....many thought it was too early for Pickett ....and the thought was MELB reached for Pickett, believing another club would grab him

I've always been of the view that top 10 players are for structural players .....players you can build a club around .....FP players don't meet those criteria

Eddie Betts was selected as a Rookie ......Chaarlie Cameron was a Rookie .....Stengle was a Rookie
I'm happy with that path for small fwds

But he’s proven to be a quality player and fills a need, so if they used a top 10 pick on him who cares. Plus he was never getting to a rookie

Well it would make sense - but I would really only want it to be with either Freo or Richmond as I would want 2 x 1st round picks. If it was with Richmond for 7 & 15..the bonus would be we get 2 picks in before Port...maybe Hobbs slips to 7 and if not Goater, then Draper at 15

He's not as quick as Kozzy and Charlie but I'm comfortable that he has the necessary speed and agility to be successful as a small forward. He's got a good burst of speed, especially over the first few steps, which allows him to get separation on the lead and to exit stoppage at pace when going through the midfield. In my view, his overall speed and athleticism should allow him to have an impact defensively too, it's just consistent application defensively that we haven't seen from him yet.

I'd be more than happy to have Rachele at the Crows given our list lacks genuine class and x-factor, though I'd echo the previous comments in saying that if we were to target him, I would hope that it would be as part of a trade down the order.

Geez Rachele not quick not lightning fast but his athletic profile is pretty damn good, will allow him to play forward and some midfield/wing time at AFL level, and well. We could always do with a player with his goal sense, maybe not with 4 but he’s a player I’d be a big fan of for us if we moved down
