That would be the one - Jackson
I hope that whisper you heard is just someone pissing in your pocket....why on earth would we want a 27 year old defender that's flat out getting a kick for the Cats VFL?

Sounds like it will be one that is better off being put in the fingers crossed it does not happen basket as I can't say I recall seeing him play

Imagine a glacially slow Jake Kelly with the agility of Taylor Walker that's worse at defending

I don't know why we'd even consider him

Zac Becker might be a bolter to watch. 189cm defender for Sturt.

Started solidly in U18 without much fanfare but has ripped school footy to shreds for Scotch College with 2 bests and 2 second best in 5 games. Obviously likes a run forward too with bags of 11, 9 and 3.

He smashed it that hard that Sturt put him straight up to the reserves with the school bye last week end where he posted 16 possessions 5 marks and 5 rebound 50.

One to watch.

Isaac Birt with his run and carry interests me, runs all day, perhaps a little too outside but he's got a game.

Haven’t seen him in the flesh but heard he had a belter last Saturday against the Legs. So went and had a read, apparently he’s a pure wing? May be a point of difference for the lad in trying for a State team spot.

Would be worth drafting him just so we can do this:

Been good all year actually and played extremely well in that U17's SANFL Future Stars game last year. Running machine.

Birt reminds me a bit of Zac Fisher, slight of frame but can find it and run. There's something there.

Draper going from strength to strength, if there's ever going to be a Fyfe type from this draft it will be him.
Draper is fascinating isn’t he. Could be anything. Obviously was very good in the reserves last week end too. 19 touches, 7 tackles and 6 clearances. He’ll start moving up the ranks

Unfortunately we have very little chance of getting him - which is a shame because he would be prefect for our midfield.
Using the ladder predictor, I have us finishing 13th (on percentage, we are equal 11th on games won). Whilst I've enjoyed the wins this year, I can't help but think this is actually a disaster when it comes to where our rebuild will peak in a few years time. We need quality, high ends mids. This isn't going to get it for us.

Horne potentially might be the best mid in this draft but there's 5 or 6 others that potentially could be just as good or close to it. Of all the potential top 10 mid prospects in this draft Horne is by far the most physically advanced which might level out a bit when others reach his stage of growth.

A young group rolling top 4 teams is never a disaster, and really that's the difference between us being 12th and 16th.

Roberts with his foot injury will miss the next couple of months and the U18 champs..he may very well slip to pick 6 or 7 which is likely right in our hitting zone - and he looks like he would be a great fit for our list. Its what we do with our 2nd and the Melbourne 2nd that will really be telling as guys like Arlo Draper might be back end of 1st round..how do we get a pick there if that is the plan

Norwood's Mid/Small Forward Cooper Murley now he's back from his ankle injury he sustained at AFC training is one to keep a very serious eye on possibly in the back end of the 1st round and Glenelg's highly skilled running back/mid Lewis Rayson also possibly around that mark or even at our current 2nd pick.
