Surely if we got pick 2 then we'd have to do a trade with north. I don't expect reid to be productive though, he's useless. He even let port leapfrog us in the superdraft a few years ago. They got rozee and we got jones. Completely outplayed by port.
If we get pick 2-4 we are more than likely to trade down with a Victorian team who want to draft one of those high Victorian midfielder and we target Roberts who slide due to his injury.

I think this deal may have some legs but is dependent on whether or not North feel Dumont is on the way out as a FA. I've heard some things that suggest he may be looking to move back to SA & that we may be interested in him. A trade scenario for Crouch would mean North receives the maximum benefit of the FA compo for Trent, whilst only sliding a few spots in the draft but still ending up with one of the better Vic Kids (Sinn, Sonsie, Rachele)

Trading Crouch and our pick (currently 5) for Pick 1 would value Crouch at 78. We could even look to have a swap of seconds (24>20) to even things out a bit more. I wouldnt be all to fussed about this. All this under the proviso we are offering Dumont enough to net North a second-rounder in FA compo.

ADL Gain: Horne, Dumont
NM Gain: Crouch, Pick 5, AND another 2nd rounder as FA compo.

Of all of the stupid posts I’ve seen, this is the stupidest

U18s SA form often gets overlooked , Will Hayward as an example should have gone higher but wasn’t playing league or reserves

Really? Pick 21 seems there abouts for what he’s produced in 5 seasons. Solid, yet inconsistent medium forward. Better than some taken before him, but also others taken after him that are better.

Everybody wants Horne but he isn’t the be all end all as there seems to be a lot of talented midfielders in this draft. Predicting the future is also difficult, Rankine in the super draft was the most wanted and look now. He playing ok but no where near what was projected. He’s playing at a pick in the 40s not pick 3

Would be interesting if we did. Maybe a swap of pick 2 with a side around pick 6 or 7 and also get their 2022 1st rounder if we were after roberts this year and had a strong idea he would be there at our pick. The extra 1st next year helps with a possible OOC rankine or lukosius next year

If gallagher is better than roberts then you just pick gallagher. Unless you get way overs in a deal from another club. You won't see north not pick horne because he's not from vic.

I wouldn't give up a 2022 first rounder for rankine or luko when they're out of contract.

if he did ask to be traded home it would be to port. he's a fremantle supporter but also said he wouldnt mind playing for the power. never even mentioned the crows. only way he gets to the crows if if we draft him.

Problem for us is that if GC finish below us and close to the bottom, they can drive a harder bargain knowing they could let either walk to the draft and we wont get either if they are angry enough with our offer. I'd rather offer up decent collateral to strike a deal and get the player we want if it pans out like that. Sure try to go in lower but have that pick up your sleeve in case you have to use it

I looked at the run home for the bottom 3 sides and the way the Suns are playing vs the way the Roos and Hawks are playing, I wouldn't rule out the Suns having pick 1.

SUNS: RICH, GWS, WB, MELB, BRIS, CARL, ESS, SYD
HAW: PORT, FREO, MELB, BRIS, ADEL, COLL, WB, RICH
NORTH: WB, WC, ESS, CARL, GEEL, RICH, SYD, ADEL

Sun's lose out, Hawthorn win 1 more and North go 2-6 and GC are at pick 1.

And I really don't think any of those 3 things are out of the question.
This one from me aged well!

For all that was made of the '2018 Superdraft', 3 years in and that 1st round has more then its fair share of players yet to live up to their draft hype. Still early days, but I think its fair to say its not provided the level of impact players that it was expected too.

I was dreaming that maybe Suns could sneak a win over Carlton, never imagined they would knock off the Tigers!!

I think we have a real chance at 16th, especially if games get moved to Victoria, cannot see us catching the Suns and North in the bottom two spots without some divine intervention. The Suns would need to somehow win one (we should be cheering REALLY hard for them in their game against Carlton) and North might sneak a win before we see them in the last round.

Just need North to come to the party :)

I reckon with Pick #2 and Matt Crouch wanting out we get into some pretty good conversations come trade / draft time. I know Mrouch is an RFA but that can often result in a decent trade to satisfy all parties.

For his age group i'd wager there's a fair bit of Fyfe in there as well (for good reason)
This is happening more and more. The younger generation tend to follow players rather than teams. They don't have the same 'loyalty' as older generations.
You see it in the NBA, where there are LeBron supporters and they happily follow him to whatever team he supports.

America is about 20 years further down the road of celebrity worship than we are. We'll probably get there though.

They are, but our younger generation are much more heavily influenced by American culture than my generation was.

Agree, ridiculous

Not sure I even want Horne now

Do kids learn about maps and states and territories in schools anymore? Could they find Adelaide on a map of the world?

Brisbane recruiting boss on Road to the Draft talking about packaging current and most likely end of year 16/18 for higher.

Sits right in Fremantles pick zone of 10

Not suggesting we do it but it would be nice to see if we could manufacture something to see if we could keep 4 and get 16/18

Pick 18 is consider a first rounder.

If Horne is even remotely close to the talent you're talking him up as, North will back themselves in to keep him and just work through that. If it that bad however, he'll fall to us without us needing to do anything.
Noble likes to trade down so who knows.
Their list is a basket case and in need of players in 24-30 bracket more so than GC.
They cant attract any decent players even after throwing massive offers out.
They should throw a bucket load at MCrouch and we get band 1
The difference this year is Barrett supports NM and would champion the trade if it suited their cause
