Probably because we never showed interest...Port would almost certainly play the family ticket if he becomes a star.
Going back to Dudley, I have not seen him play live but in terms of his talent level, where does he sit when compared to Rankine in terms of pure talent - not worrying about commitment etc, just pure talent?

The thinking here is that if he is as highly talented as what Bamford is alluding to, surely the club would have it much easier taking Dudley and moving on

Talent wise he's not at the same exceptional level of Izak, very, very few are. Put it this way if it came to using our 2nd pick on a small forward/midfielder I'm taking Cooper Murley or even Judson Clarke before Dudley.

What happened to Cody Gilchrist
Obviously not rated by the Crows, Powa, Dogs or the other AFL club who I can't recall Banger mentioned who had input into the final SA squad make-up. i.e AFL Club's perspective sought out.

Looks good does clark.

It is intetesting that those who watch the kids have their own takes..if we were all the same the world would be boring. Bamford did note dudley to his eye was the most skilled SA based player in the draft pool this year above Murley. But they are all new to me as i have not seen any live to compare to

Normally the Crows or Port are linked automatically with any Sth Aust boy thinking about his future ......not so with Dylan Stephens

14 games in your first 2 seasons isn't something to spit the dummy at .....that said last years crop have been fast tracked into the side continuously, in preference to Stephens

Obviously not on our radar .....thank god

have been linked to Sydney first-round selection Dylan Stephens, who is believed to be weighing up his future in the Harbour City.
Stephens has played 14 games for Sydney in his two seasons at the club, finding opportunities in John Longmire's team hard to come by.
The 20-year-old is keen to gain further experience at senior level while remaining at the Swans, however could be tempted by greater options elsewhere.

You've also have to realise it's Bangers job to sell SA's young talent to AFL clubs, no doubt Dudley has a very sound all round skills base but it's pretty obvious AFL club's are aware of his commitment issues to get the best out of himself.

Small FWD Bicks .....speed, agility, pressure .....not more of what we have already in spades

Fabian Francis?

What did he play - maybe four years?

Not sure if the "your step dad played here for a handful of years two decades ago" is a massive lure.

I guess if Port got Ian Downsborough's kid, we could do a trade.

We've been linked multiple times with Stephens.

Did his AFL Academy placement there and spoke very enthusiastically about the experience and how the club and senior players got around him.

Please explain?

All of Murley, Clarke and Dudley have that to my eye?
I need to see more of the others, but don't see much diff between Clark and Rowe as far as role ....want to see a player spinning on a dime, big fake or sidestep, and that Laird type speed over 5mtrs .....Rowe certainly misses most of those gates

Dudley has potential .....but I haven't seen enough to make any considered judgement

I think you best acquaint yourself more on all 3 players especially Clarke if you think his ceiling is James Rowe.

Too many "meh" players being floated about every year .....how many make it ?

Clark showed very little "standout " qualities to go into raptures over .....most look good at underage level, and you're assessing on current form against average players v capabilities to mix it with the best & toughest in the AFL

Watch 3 minutes of Pedlar's match's and you go yeah he's got it

With Dudley there's touch's of Willie Rioli .....but Rioli is 26 and recruited as a mature player ...that may unfortunately also be Dudley's course, but I hope not

Really looking forward to seeing Cook, I agree he will be a star for us when ready. Do you think he's a chance for a debut next year?

On SM-G988B using BigFooty.com mobile app
He'll almost certainly debut next year. Don't know if he'll start to get midfield roles until the following year though, most probably starts on the half forward flank or forward pocket even.

I'm sure every prospective young footballer loves the experience of spending time in a professional environment.

I just think this is a non-issue. Local players drafted to the Crows or Port just don't change to the other side.
