Discussion 2021 Fixture Changes , including Byes

I tend to agree on no extra trades, but I'd rather it stays best18 and just accept that I may end up playing 1 short that week than to give those who have burnt through all their allocated trades any trade relief.

I think you have to do extra trades or best 16, all keeping the status quo does is reward those who have catered towards one bye round out of sheer luck. There's no skill in one fixture being changed and that massively benefitting someone.

Best 16 > Daylight > Extra Trades though imo. Extra trades as you said gives relief to those who burnt through trades, best 16 keeps the season's scoring structure relatively normal as Richmond/WCE dont have that many high ownership players.

Dusty/Short//RCD/NicNat/Bolton are the only playing players above 5% ownership.

I'd say there would be very few people with more than 3 of those, and anyone who brings in CCJ willingly not knowing when the fixture is going to be played shouldn't be accounted for in any potential decision.

I'm not entirely sure they have the ability to change to Best 15 though, so I'd imagine extra trades are coming if the match gets moved.

before any fixture change i have 16 playing r14. Plan was 2 trades to make 18.
after this game is moved i have 13.
If we had a vote id say best 15.
a couple of extra trades would be amazing.

A decision that isn’t perfect is eased if it’s made well in advance and people know. Like right ****ing now. Before tonights game.

That was the prob with the Melb vs Ess decision. They made it at 8:30pm on Sat night after playing players were locked on the bench.

Smart move was to work all this out preseason and publish it. If this happens, we’ll do this.

Don’t know if this has been mentioned but here’s my little suggestion.
Richmond west coast played in round 13. Players scores don’t count towards round 13 scores but those scores for that match get added in like normal for round 14 scores? Seems simple?

It would seem simple if Richmond/WCE is the last game of the round and we could have a lockout/new round start before their game, but the Monday game makes this impossible. How would this even work? You select non-playing Richmond players in R13 and they take up spots in your line-up that could theoretically go to 28 playing R13 players? How do you have a lockout and the ability to trade in R13 Richmond/WCE players?

You would have two separate states within the game, one where R14 is active and one where R13 is active, with changes being able to be made to one that doesn't affect the other. Not even Fantasy Premier League has the ability to do this and they have 100x the resources of Champion Data.

Seems fine on paper but in practice would never work.
