That's the fairest way.

Actually does make sense. Just like we can't pick up FAs after the Grand Final.

Though I laugh at your comment, I agree. I was thinking for next year, but happy to see the 'rule change' take effect straight away. It makes good sense. Now watch Warriors tank the 1st game to grab the first pick

Need to look at having it be last season's reverse ladder order for the first 3 or 5 rounds or however many before reverting to current ladder position. I was bottom 4 after Round 1 last season, for example.

No. I prefer a system where it starts out reverse ladder position, and then it never resets. If you were on the bottom and got a good FA pick, so be it - no need to freeze it at all in my opinion.
