My question on Clarkson isn't his competence, it's his heart. I just get the feeling he's not going to be invested in a club the way he was with the Hawks where he helped build them from the gutter into a dynasty. I reckon it'd be hard to replicate that passion on a new team where you're starting from scratch and it's such a perfect storm of events to get the results he did I'm not sure if it could even be replicated even if he was 100% invested and coaching his ass off.I think Lyon will be good for them. There is a plenty of talent on the list, he’ll organise them and get them playing coherently
Some people point out Lyon’s last 4 years at Freo as evidence against him, but have you seen Clarkson’s last 4 years?
if that’s the measure you want to use then an argument can be made that Clarkson is past it too
and you know what? He might be
Maybe the time off will help, but people will expect him to be a miracle worker and I can't see it happening as quick as some will expect.
