Who was it that passed the ball to themselves around the post the other night?

Had forgotten where I'd seen it before but stumbled on the video today. Jack Higgins' goal of the year a few years ago

It was rozee.
It’s pretty clear he disposes of it here, where as rozee doesn’t, he just throws it.
I was listening to razor ray during the week and it was his opinion that both were throws.

Hey dude... You do realise what you just said on a crows board? "Carn the powaaaaa". F*** me dead! And I thought Tex would be shoveling for a long time digging himself out.
His hatred for danger runs deep enough to barrack for the arch enemy.

I'm going to wait and see which one wins before declaring which of the two I hate more

So my reading of our BF board gives me confidence in our collective wisdom. After all I like everyone's posts and many like mine.
However, before we slap our collective backs about how intelligent, observant and accurate we are when discussing football.....better check out the pole at the top of this thread.
Fail...🥺

Ray's right. The Higgins goal was a clear throw.
Meh, won’t go to war over it, but it’s just like Thilthorpes over the head kick against the saints.
It’s not a clear throw.
It’s borderline.

Here's my take .....I was actually going to call in, but I couldn't stop laughing at Sayers Interview

1. Bolton was in part sacked because he was too defensive and the media were hanging it on CARL for not scoring

2. So CARL respond by appointing an offensive Coach, who oversaw a great FWD line at the Crows .....that's not an over reaction is it

3. So now CARL are too offensive and need better DEF .....are we seeing a cycle here ;) ....so they ge one of the most criticised defensive Coach's in Ross Lyon

4. So all other aspects of the Carlton Footy Club are OK ......but hang-on, if Lloyd is retained as footy boss, who made the call to chase and recruit OFFENSIVE players Saad and Zilliams ? .....particularly if you have identified a weakness in the team to defend

Zilliams, Saad, Docherty, don't have a defensive bone in their body

This was contradictory to everything & highlights that CALt are again jumping at shadows & don't have a clear path .....and more importantly a connection between recruitment, the footy boss, Board, and the Coach

Teague wasn’t a good appointment. It was made in knee jerk haste

his problem was that he never made the transition from caretaker to head coach.

he never developed a game plan of his own, not a clear vision of how he wanted to play

as interim all he needed to do was simplify, go back to basics and get the players to play a bit more free.

when he was made permanent he couldn’t go beyond that, he didn’t adapt and implement a proper game plan that players and staff could understand or execute

and that’s without taking into account whether the game plan would be any good

the problem with Carlton & Teague wasn’t in his firing, but his hiring in the first place

no process, knee jerk, wrong guy

A good example where sometimes it's better not to have an interim coach as everyone can get caught up in the change and it can gain momentum. It would be interesting to see some stats to know the success of interim coaches once appointed.

His hiring was based on the same way a bunch of Crows players wanted him. He was popular with the players as an assistant, so they pushed for him to get the main job.

they were seduced by the dead cat bounce and that he was popular, a players coach

Turned out though he just couldn’t actually, um, you know, coach
I know a few Carlton fans who don't disagree on Teague getting moved on, they just have issues with the way the Blues went about it and then likely hiring Ross Lyon too. Holding out hopes for Clarkson as you can imagine, but once that was off the table I don't think they can go the rookie coach route again.

Also, it's probably easier to be popular as an assistant, you can play the good cop more often. Doesn't always work that way once you're the top dog though.

I think Lyon will be good for them. There is a plenty of talent on the list, he’ll organise them and get them playing coherently

Some people point out Lyon’s last 4 years at Freo as evidence against him, but have you seen Clarkson’s last 4 years?

if that’s the measure you want to use then an argument can be made that Clarkson is past it too

and you know what? He might be
