Fantasia has been much better than I expected.

I don't think anyone though Aliir would be as good as he has been. As I said in an earlier post given the amount of games they have won by small margins he is possibly the difference between them playing finals and being in a Prelim he has been that good.

The first quarter was terrible from Geelong though. They dominated the game and had all the momentum but kicked straight to him. I can't believe how often no one even competed against him. Surely at the very least you have to make him earn it.

That was my take from the little I saw

Allir dominated but Geelong had a lot of opportunity early - I mean 1st quarter early - to put Port on the back foot playing catch up , but so many misses at goal hurt them

Oh alir alir has been THE difference for them. Take the last showdown alone, he single handedly kept the score down in the first half. Without him we most likely would have gone in a few more goals up and we win the showdown and port would have finished 4th instead of 2nd and faced a red hot melbourne away from adelaide.

Whoever plays them in the prelim has to run a defensive forward tbat can contest in the air on him AND the midfield need to be told dont kick it anywhere near him. Take him out of the equation and port are absolutely there for beating
