you guys got locked down due to rampant covid cases, as did NSW. This is understandable. Restrictions when there's been no community cases for months is vastly different.

It's a business choice, don't require it if you don't intend to implement it properly. Most businesses won't make it compulsory. If the govt won't mandate it under their legislative power, why should a business overrule the best advice?

Some of the measures do appear to be a bit silly given the apparent level of risk. That said the tiny minority that are carrying on like they are being marched off to death camps because they have to wear a mask, they really are a bunch of wet limpets.

you only need to wear them when walking to the bar to get another drink. Even then, if you're in a front bar type place, often people don't bother once they've walked in.

It is not about entry it's about lying about your vaccination status
And laws about forging an official document have been around for a long time.

And the fine may come in a form of a ban from a venue or an individual business.

You can lie to nearly anyone about your vaccination status. And a fine is not the same as a ban, just admit you got it wrong.

No Mate because in Australia there is a Penalty for using forge documentation, and has been for a while.
And Yes a venue or Business may only ban you, but if they report that you used a forged commonwealth document that is a fine and possible jail time.
You do understand the Covid vaccination certificate or Passport is an official Commonwealth documentation
Here is a Hint the giveaway is the Australian Coat of Arms at the top of the form.

So yea most people will follow the rules and not lie or use false documentation.
