None I would have thought but it should stop guys that are concussed from going back on. Wait don’t they already have concussion protocols.
Might be more about legal ramifications of the AFL.

It has become 'traditional' now, so it simply can't be changed.
Basically it's the VFL reminding everyone that this is a VFL competition and you should all be thankful to be allowed to play in their game.
