Love, like, hate Richmond - however you feel about them, you have to admire their willingness to leave their man to force a contest, and their commitment as a team to cover the next players in the chain.
They are a team that has a good structure and a complete buy in from the players. They are super confident in their process. As long as they have Dusty, maintain the desire to be at the top and everyone buys is, they will be very tough to beat.

So can we discuss last nights sub rules??
The AFL rush in a rule for concussions, then expand it to 'significant' injuries. Both teams make a sub for dubious injuries.

Now, will both players subbed off be forced to miss the next game? That would seem to have been the easy way to avoiding coaches making subs for no reason. Surely the AFL will come out and make that clear before tonights game? Or will they wait until the clubs complete scans and then, when they come back clear, let them play again next week?

Have the AFL any brains at all?

That's the logical way to resolve this. If the new rule means concussed players are out for 12 days, then anyone subbed out should be subject to the same rule. Problem solved.

I believe that is the rule unless there was an "error" made by the doctors, or the injury wasn't as bad as first thought.

Wow... the blole is ****in delusional..

Why dont we just give the powa the cup right now and be done with it.

I’m not sure there is a club and supporter base out there that believes their own bullshit more than Poort Adelaide.

Every year they tell anyone that bothers to listen how they are gonna win the premiership this year.. and every year they choke come finals time.

Biggest bunch of delusional flogs.

Its just yet another massive cockup from this unbelievably incompetant organisation..

So they decide they need a concussion rule that allows a sub.. ok, not a bad idea given how mich damage to a person’s life a serious concussion can do.. then at the last minute the just decide to make it a “medical” sub..

Blind freddy could see that the clubs were gonna milk that for all its worth and surprise, surprise the tigers and blues did exactly that.

So now they effectively have no concussion sub at all.. because what happens when a bloke is told to fake an injury so the coach can sub him with fresh legs in the third quarter and a couple of minutes later a bloke gets a head knock?... there is no one to sub him with dickheads!..

They need to make it a mandatory 2 weeks on the sidelines for a player that is subbed regardless of the injury excuse used or whether the bloke makes a “miraculous” recovery (and even that really is kind of ludicrous) to stop the rorting of the system.

The league is run by total morons.

That's exactly my point. Shouldn't this already have been in place before last night. Shouldn't the AFL have clarified it today by declaring both subbed out players can't play or train for 12 days?

Correct. Absolute morons.

It really p1sses me off as the game itself is still the greatest game in the World. If they could be half competent, that would be great.
