A get this rubbish thrown in my face by a Power supporter - “Orazio could have come to two teams in this State, he chose us”.

I just respond with how are Watts, Rockliff, Ryder and Polec going? Followed by each was a missing piece and what have you got - no grand finals, one preliminary final in a compromised season since 2014?

Both Orazio and Allir aren’t going to be the solutions either.

Allir looks to be a smart pickup, if he is allowed to play an unaccountable role. Teams will soon start to work him out though and not allow him to intercept as easy as he has.

Agree re Orazio, but Wobbie Gway is on his last legs so there is a position there, as long as he stays fit.

If they fall short again this year I think Rockliff (retire) and Powell-Peper (trade) will go at the end of the year. I think Hartlett and Motlop would be 50/50 which might free up some space.

I agree with others, if they want to keep all their young players then they will have to create some space in the out years.

Agreed. Port aren't the only team to trade in duds to appease supporters fantasies about being a "destination club".

Port Powah have a long history of recruiting for "name" rather than need. This is what is meant when it's another puzzle piece for Port. Its their marketing spin for their members "Fwoarrrr, look who we got now"

For example getting Rockliff when you have already have Boak, Wines & PP in that role.

When Rocky arrived they pushed Boak to the forward line where he had his worst season. Rockliff was no way what they needed it was purely a marketing exercise "OMG Rockliff wanted to come to us".

No SPP or Rockliff and Wines is in great form..

We got Gibbs a year too late......some could say maybe we shouldn't have done anything.

You would think that both Boak and Gray would only have another year in them at most as well. They can clear up cap space if they want.

We got 2 first rounders and Lever did his ACL almost immediately at the Demons and they ended up paying him a heap of money for a whole lot of nothing.

The future first rounder we got as part of that trade eventually got us Pedlar IIRC.

Lever is in AA form so far this year though.
