I always waste heaps of trades in the rucks.

It's my jam.

If I started Grawndy they'd both get injured for sure, so I'm going to do you all a favour and start neither.

Reckon I'll have them both by the first week of league finals though.

P.s. I agree with Schulzenfest on Gawn's price. I'd put a pretty large wager on the winning team in 2021 definitely not starting with all of Lloyd, Neale, Gawn and Grundy, even though heaps of teams will. I'm running with none of the above

Max Gawn had 50% of his games were over 150 points and as long as CD love him that much he will be the first player picked in my team.

The most expensive players are over-priced.

Gawn's average was 11.5 higher than ever before, Neale's 13 higher than ever before, Lloyd's 10 higher than ever before. We know Grundy had a pretty bad season and he still averaged 120.

They might still score the highest for their position, but your chances of getting your money's worth are poor IMO

Of the "rich" 4 .....it's Neale that's favorite to drop in price quickly

Gawn has a history of maintaining his ave ....and Grundy suffered in the hub, so he should bounce back and represent value

Yep Grundy is almost value, probably priced about right. I think Grundy and Preuss is the vanilla combo to start this year.

Peeps talking 'set and forget' also seem to forget Gawny having to have weeks off injured and people trading him out.

I had a league grannie where my oppo had beaten me earlier in the year partly thanks to a Gawn C score, but then in the big one I owned Gawn and he didn't. I loled

Seagull gets so many points from kick outs. He runs out of the square and gets that stat every time. Every. Single. Time.

Here's the thing about that though. Jordan Dawson plays alongside him in defence, and is a much better kick. Probably has an extra 5-10m on his kick compared to Lloyd. And every time I watched Sydney play last year I thought to myself 'surely this is the week they start letting Dawson take the kick-ins?'

It hasn't happened yet. But it might (and really should) happen in the future. Even if they started equally splitting them, it's probably an extra 10 ppg to Dawson and a subtracted 10 ppg from Lloyd.

I don't think teams care what Lloyd does. How many times have you heard a coach say post game "Well we just couldn't stop Lloyd in the back line doing circle work and getting nowhere. It totally won them the game."?

If he outscores the comparison C by 10 you can deduct $50k... Still a $250k difference.

I have yet to see a side that takes preuss over gawn that really punishes people for taking a 300k+ more expensive player.
Maybe they have an extra mid pricer over the typical GnR team but that's about it.
Really not worth it IMO.

Gawns combined 3 game average against the first 6 teams he plays is 140. If you're expecting him to be sub 700k by Rd7 you're going to be disappointed.

Keep an eye on Vardy, now Hickey is gone to Sydney. Vardy is probably going to break down again,
so good a chance Williams will play mostly off the bench.

Year too early as a mid pricer IMO, Oscar will probably still do the chop outs,
BUT once JK is gone, (will retire this year me thinks) Williams could be a watch if he holds a fwd/ruck DPP.
