Year too early as a mid pricer IMO, Oscar will probably still do the chop outs,
BUT once JK is gone Williams could be a watch if he holds a fwd/ruck DPP.
3 games last year, the normal development path would be 5-8 games in 2021

Yeah definitely possible.

We are exposed badly in the rucks this year, if both of our injury prone ruck men go down he's a great get at that price but I don't expect Simmo to start him.

Williams and Comben decent down grade targets in the forwards for the 200-330k bunch I guess.:eyes:

Should score just as good, cash in the $$$$'s

I think ill go Gawndy now. I was thinking Grundy and Preuss but Gawn is so far above the rest (other than Grundy) that it just makes sense to lock him in and go value elsewhere. No defenders or forwards will come close to averaging as much as Gawn and id like to keep my midfield as is - i.e i don't want to spend up on an extra gun midfielder when i can leave that spot for someone who i really want in my starting team.

Preuss will be good and if Gawn/Grundy start the season slow selecting Preuss could work well but id rather downgrade a forward mid-pricer to a rookie and downgrade a gun back to a mid-pricer in order to start with the best 2 rucks in the game. Not to mention the fact that Gawn is a brilliant VC/C option.

Seeing a lot of posts here lately that if you have Preuss, that means no Gawn. Unless you can make really good use of the 100k gained by going Grundy I don't see any other reason to not go Gawn and Preuss. Best of both worlds and Preuss to Grundy should be a much easier trade up than to a Gawn who has proven he can maintain such a high price for a long time.

Agreed, if I go for Preuss it will be in place of Manbundy.

Grundy is a gun, but if the no-rookie doom merchants are right I'll need some cash from somewhere and Gawn is essential imo even if he doesn't match last years average.

Premiership hero Vardy looks fit and trim
I take it contact training hasn't started yet...

Wheelbarrows don't come in the size big enough to assist the man with the testicles required to select Vardy in SC

Mentioned in a poddy by an ex teammate as possibly getting games now Steph has departed

Tom Fullarton’s first full season as a professional football player in 2019 demonstrated his potential as a forward for the Lions.

Fullarton was recruited as a Category B Rookie from the Brisbane Bullets midway through the 2018 season.
Swapping a promising NBL career for Aussie Rules, standing 200cm tall, Fullarton is an exciting prospect who can play in a variety of positions and is very agile for his size. Fullarton was previously part of the Lions Academy.

I'd be very interested if the Lions hasn't signed up Daniher, but I reckon Joe probably take what would've been Fullarton's spot this year. Can't see them playing all of McInerney, Daniher, Hipwood, McStay and Fullarton in one side.

What about in Rd3 when Daniher is injured? :moustache:

Sam Hayes is another young ruck who I think will play games this year. I'd like to see him start taking over from Lycett who's really not much more than an honest battler. Won't play 22 games or anything but should hopefully get a few opportunities here and there.

No R/F though, so if you're not going the cheapo option with Treacy, Fullarton's R/F eligibility probably makes him the better bench option.
