I have seen very little of him since drafted but would Charlie Constable 192cm, 86kg and OOC be an option as another big bodied mid, can't get a crack at the Cats so shouldn't cost too much.
Jarrad Jansen 2.0

Could you lot please stop shouting me down.

I blame you for making Birchall retire. It's all your fault.

If Ashcroft is guaranteed we move it on to get a free hit at something. If you can get in a player now that fills a hole for next year plus say a second round future pick is that not something of value?
Not for Briggs. You're seriously overvaluing him.

The difference between our future first and GWS future second? Guess we all see the world differently but I definitely rate him.
Haven't been keeping up with this but are you thinking our future first for Briggs and GWS future second? If so I don't mind it but would probably prefer an extra first this year if possible.

Chol can play forward something that Fullarton isn’t that great at

Yet.

Chol came from our academy & has been in the system for four seasons at Richmond.

This is Fullartons second season & has played 14 games or thereabouts.

Sweet lord, give him a little time to get back into the game.

I actually like what I see in him, and think he's come on quite nicely in the second half of the year. Needs to improve his marking absolutely, but there's enough there to persevere with IMO. For his size he's an aerobic beast & can at least get to contests. Just needs to improve what he does once he gets to them.

Might be wrong, but I also think the club likes what they see in him & won't look for any short term Hipwood fixes.

Agree 100%, unless the Briggs report from a couple months ago comes to fruition I completely expect Fullarton to be the 3rd tall/2nd ruck till Hipwood comes back.

First time poster, long time lurker.

What are peoples thoughts on Levi Casboult? Our best structured forward line this year has been at its best with the 3 big Fwds along with Charile and Linc. As much as Fullerton tried to fill the gap in the absence of Hippy, he is still a work in progress. Casboult has been delisted by the blues, so he wouldn't cost any draft picks. Offering him a 12 month contract to fill the void left by Hippy would mean we still have the big 3 Fwds and opposition Defs wouldn't able to zone-off as much. He is 31, can ruck, but unsure of his injuries/fitness, plus his is a Tassie boy.

Hey mate welcome to bigfooty
If there's one thing that puts a big red cross next to someones name for me it's getting delisted from Carlton of all places. I'm not a huge fan of what he could provide at his age and the first thing that comes to mind when I think of him is Lachie Neale out-bodying him in a marking contest.

Was thinking this today. If we want to give it a crack next year without Eric for most of the year we could do worse than someone like Casboult.

All we need from that position is someone who will compete and bring the ball to ground and take the odd contested mark, which is something Fullerton does not appear capable of at this stage.

If we had more room to move in terms of list spots we could do worse I think. Levi wouldn’t be in the team to kick goals. We have enough scoring power in the team as is.

one word NO. Welcome to the lions den. 1st of many posts no doubt. I wish you all the best.I want Richmonds CCJ Callum Coleman-Jones age profile ,talent and has proven to kick goals in the seniors. Massive upside. So long as he passes character checks. He’s the hippy replacement by,(in my book) a long way.

What role do you want Casboult to play? Compete & bring the ball to ground, in the forward line? McStay's position?

Levi is 254 years old and can't touch his toes. You can't expect him to roam up the field like Hipwood & Daniher as a link up, or be a second ruck.

Sorry, I should’ve probably been a bit clearer. I’m not necessarily advocating for Levi per se. But someone like that who can just lead and compete.

I think Dan showed enough in the last month that he can be a competent second tall with Daniher, especially now that he seems to have sorted out the issues he had with the yips.

We have enough scoring power between those 2 and the dangerous smalls that we just need whoever plays that third tall to just compete and not let us get outmarked. They wouldn’t be in the team to kick multiple goals every week.

edit. It’s probably a moot point anyway as we don’t really have the list spots, but I do think that Hipwood / 3rd forward role is something we definitely need to look at next season if he is going to miss most of it.
