The difference from 5-9 is minimal. If ess take Philly then Tsatas is on the slide.

Surely Essendon would be silly enough to trade down to pick 11 and still expect Phillipou to be there though Would they?

Despite all the list changes, we are still a level above Kangaroos and WCE. We won’t finish last unless we get decimated by injuries to key players much like this year

That’s the thing, we were last season but the list this season isn’t! We have talent but so do North it’s just about getting games into them. The Eagles will go in with a much healthier list this season and play every second game at home so will finish much higher than they did this year IMO.

That’s the thing, we were last season but the list this season isn’t! We have talent but so do North it’s just about getting games into them. The Eagles will go in with a much healthier list this season and play every second game at home so will finish much higher than they did this year IMO.

Not sure about this. Its true WCE had significant injury/Covid issues but our midfield needs an overhaul, Nic Nat is well past his prime and we lost our leading goal scorer in Kennedy. Nothing we add this year will likely make a the needle move.

I predict pain.

Gee you mustn’t rate Langdon. Kelly beats him in all areas - including contested possessions. Salam will never be voted in the best 3 players in the comp - wouldn’t get the top 3 in his own club.

Paul Roos has stated many times that had Melbourne not traded back in that draft, they would have taken Billings at pick 2 and not Kelly, so it’s a moot point.

TBH I think there are question marks on this years' crop more than most years.

Ashcroft - outstanding (like most years)
Wardlaw - hammies
Tsatas - loopy kicking
Phillipou - some clubs (not all) have question marks over personality
Clark - I actually think he's a safe bet, but what's his ceiling?
Hollands - Safe bet as well
Ginbey - men against boys, might end up a big bodied HB instead of a mid
