rumour (n)

  1. information, often a mixture of truth and untruth, passed around verbally
  2. gossip or hearsay

Big links to Hawks and McKenzie now. Unsure if a smokescreen, but jungle drums are beating louder.
Presuming Bombers take Phillipou, that would leave Tsatas, Humphrey and Clark on the table. The last I would understand, but the former two a little more surprising given the "general AFL community" draft rankings. (Albeit, each club's ranking is unique, and this year just has that feel that there's quite a variety in how they view the kids.)

And Phillipou said main two Club are Essendon/Hawthorn

So looking more and more likely

1. Cadman
2. Wardlaw
3. Ashcroft
4. Sheezel
5. Phillipou/Tsatas
6. Humpries
7. Phillipou/Tsatas
8. Clark/Bussinger/Allen

Starting to make more sense

I don’t think GC are anywhere close to a lock on Humphries.

That is as up in the air as the Ess pick imo.

They literally flew out to WA only a few days ago for another sit down with Ginbey and his folks

I think it's between Ginbey and Humphries but surely they need Humphries more

Both (kind of) fulfill a need as bigger bodied midfielders with good versatility. If they think the WA lad can play down back early though, he may fill more of a need short-medium term.

I reckon Humphries (if he can tidy up his disposal) has the higher ceiling but it's a coin flip atm.

Expect us to know c/o Cal Twomey by Sunday in any case.

Who would the cats pick between Clark and tsatis. Feeling the saints might end up with Clark

Reckon it comes down to who they perceive is going to stick around long term. Ginbey is probably a better fit as a guy who can play pretty much anywhere, but can start on a wing and be shifted wherever they need him.

I actually don't think the Suns have as much of a need for a small or mid-sized forwards with Hollands, Rosa, Ainsworth and Jeffrey in their forward half, but would be projecting Humphrey to play as a midfielder.

If thats the case... where does Tsatas fall? geelong?
Surely, unless he does a Hobbs and falls out of the top 10?

Unless Geelong goes Busslinger/Allen/Clark

I don’t think we’ll go with either, even if both available. Reckon we get Allen. Very Geelong pick.. we typically go for high risk (eg. Injury, limited sample size), high reward types. Think we can afford to go risky as well. He has the greatest upside of who will be available.

Don’t rule out Busslinger just a gut feel but suits to a tee.
I was adamant on him until a few weeks ago, but think Allen is first choice. All these smokes and mirrors re Clark and Tsatas. We are usually pretty tight lipped at Geelong. Allen isn’t even invited to draft night (yet!)… remind you of the last time this happened?
