his kicking is terrible, but to my eyes he looks a much better mover and decision maker (in close) than mckenzie.. I haven't been following this draft at all so I don't know where they're gonna go, but humphrey looks like a legit centre square mid, just tell him to kick it long
It all hinges on what game plan we play. Back in 2020 our players with iffy disposal looked good because it was all based on speed and gaining meterage, whereas now that we're playing a more possession based style, it really shows when your disposal isn't fantastic. Personally, I think we should take Humphrey.I'm gunning for the mover in Hustwaite who is up to position 12 in that list. He's better then both in my opinion with his height making him an Adam Goodes type. Lot will come down to the Vic Metro v Country final game in two and a half weeks. Will have a major impact on the draft order methinks.
At the moment i am expecting the club to take our NGA if he's available.
If we do draft Humphrey i won't hate it. He has some excellent traits but i also think he may be a turnover king at AFL level. The club has to weigh that up.

Cal Twomey thinks he will be taken top 5.
It's funny but in my honest opinion if Naughton was playing back he would be a triple All Australian by now. I completely understand why the Bulldogs have him up front, I just think he is a marginally better player as a backman, and that is where he would really hit his straps individually.Without checking back (cos I can’t be bothered) I’m sure that is a common theme amongst posters leading up to every draft.
Still doesn’t stop many on here moaning we didn’t take Aaron Naughton, who despite his current role in the forward line, was being sold in the 2017 draft showroom as a backman.
Cam McKenzie or Bailey Humphrey thanks!!!Gee I'd really love Mckenzie to get to us. Looks like there is a few around the mark that suit us though, hopefully we grab the right one.
Nah haven't seen him , haven't got all day to be watching young boys![]()

MIDFIELDERS
C: Elijah Tsatas (OC) – Henry Hustwaite (DS) – Colby McKercher (TD)
FOL: Toby Murray (MB) – Will Ashcroft (SD) – Jhye Clark (GF)
The midfield is always the toughest line to pick, and it was hardly any different this year with such a stacked group of on-ballers in the NAB League. To the surprise of absolutely nobody, leading AFL Draft prospect Will Ashcroft features at the heart of midfield, roving next to Vic Country and Geelong adversary, Jhye Clark.
Set to lock horns in this month’s National Championship decider, the pair skippered their respective NAB League regions in remarkably consistent campaigns. Dandenong’s Henry Hustwaite rounds out the centre bounce mix alongside Murray ruck Toby Murray, who was an automatic entrant for his repeat team of the week nominations.
There’s some excitement on the outside too. Oakleigh jet Elijah Tsatas, who starred in that position early in the season, features on the opposite wing to Tasmanian Colby McKercher. The speedy midfielder is the first bottom-ager in our side and like Tsatas, can also play on the inside.

Lewis Hayes with our 2nd pick?
Rob Harvey was a fairly shithouse kick if he had to do anything over 25 metres.
Lenny the same.
His action doesn’t look all that awful to me, just a bit stiff.
Is this draft any good?
Thoughts on Elijah Hewitt?
Looks a gun but would West Coast pull the trigger on him at Pick 2 (3 after Ashcroft)?
Could be around our pick
Of course Freo has a pick after us
No Mackenzie? Must be picked by a Saints fan.Draft Centrals team of the year..

We’re going to get a fairly decent player at our (current) pick. It's his first kick on goal that goes OOTF that freaks people I think. The guy is a beast, I'd have him in a second. I've watched a lot of the videos and even the god kicks look pretty ordinary.
Phillipou was the only one that I thought looked outstanding by foot but he's a lefty so no real surprise. Elijah Hewett looks a great kick but occasionally shanked them. I really like him, his ceiling looks Shai Bolton, his bottom looks a bit Sam Powell-Pepper though.
No Mackenzie? Must be picked by a Saints fan.
I heard he didn’t help an old lady cross the road the other day. Don’t know why any club would go near himMade the squad of 40 as well. It appears they intentionally left him out...
No McKenzie?View attachment 1502558
Humphrey, Clark and McKenzie all in. Hustwaite too.

RookieMe (AFL Draft Central) TOTY was released yesterday too. Pretty similar.
The man who anointed Windhager a gun before he even finished playing his last Nab League game. We’re going to get a fairly decent player at our (current) pick.
I think people just have draft-related PTSD.

No current season stats available
The top end of the this draft is very good like all drafts are. This one might not have the depth of others. The "experts" have said that this draft is rubbish, clubs want to trade out their top picks, only 40-50 odd picks to be taken.
Is this for real? Trust us to finally go to the draft when it's a rubbish crop. We missed the boat in the last few years, apart from the obvious academy kids.
