Trade in for Burgiel with a future 2nd and either 31/35 or 47, Keeler with the next pick and either Van Es or Phillips with the last (depending on who's available and which pick we threw in for Burgiel).

Hearing Eagles are also keen on Burgiel and have Pick 29, two ahead of our first pick tonight.

Think the above would be a dream, and surely almost guarantees Keeler given where he is projected. Bit of a reach, but if we could somehow get the penny to drop.....
Everyone is mentioning Burgiel.

But I think I’m keen on going after Jakob Ryan

Once tonight is done and you look over the list.

Hunters spot on the list looks very shaky if he can’t put it together next season.

There won’t be enough midfield spots for him if Windhager Owens Phillipou all make it and Coffield settles in at half back again.
Will be a few in that basket, I reckon it would have already been put to Clark what sacrifices is he willing to make to be, not just an AFL player but a high quality consistent and sought after AFL player.

If he is not willing to go there, I reckon he will be cosying up to Ratts at North.

Kept our first, maybe a late first for Clark if the above pans out, two for NWM, we could end up with four in the first round.

Club is trying to keep NWM.

Hopefully Pou coming across helps him settle.

I prefer to hope that working with Hayes and Harvey for a year helps Clark become the player I think he can be. The side could be completely transformed in the space of 12 months.

Yep. Clark will need to really put his head down now, but it's Bytel and Byrnes who are way way down the pecking order. A lot would have to change for either of them to be on our list in 2023.

Lenny LOVES Bytel.

Teachers pet.

Every draft expert I.e Twomey has said we were working on a deal to take Hewett with one of the GWS picks.

The eagles said they weren’t looking at taking 2 WA boys with their first 2 picks. With Ginbey being the lock at 9 to them.

Twomeys phantom draft has been 13/13 and had Hewett going early in the second round to the eagles third pick.

So they went early to avoid losing him.
Im not sure thats a bad thing , i think the kid could be a star , 14 is fair IMO

Lenny may but you would have to admit Bytel and Byrnes are going to be lucky to get a game next year barring injuries even more so if we take Burgiel who i really like as well

I reckon having Bytel, Stocker and Byrnes fight it out for a spot is an excellent situation.
I literally can't remember the last time there was competition for midfield time.

Going into the first night i wanted us to get CMac and was a tiny bit mad when the Hawks swooped but honestly the Pou is more upside and potential and with the current coaching and admin i have full faith well get the best out of him.

Yeah i forgot about we may even draft Stocker

Question: What happens if we pass on pick #66 and Angus McLennan is bid on after that? Can we match the bid with a later pick #76 having already passed?

I hope we use all available picks, Gallagher has said we will probably use 4? Lets hope they do as #44 might come in more if the Davie twins, Munkara or other NGA's are bid on earlier.

I believe GWS would have been our trade partner to get higher in the 2nd round but after Sydney's bids I dont think GWS will still want to trade?

If we could get Burgiel, Keeler & Van Es with our last 3 picks I would be happy.

I thought we had plenty of his type already , a class small forward - mid is more required as Butler is on borrowed time IMO

I think as long as we have space on the list it shouldn't matter: after pick 50 something the fixed discount exceeds the total points value of picks so it's just next available.

Possibly but lets hope we ensure they have some trade value.

We aren't getting two first rounders for NWM next year unless he plays 22 games, wins the BnF, is top 5 in the Brownlow and says he will play for either SA team to invite a bidding war.

His output is nowhere near the likes of Taranto and Hopper who attracted those deals.

It'd be a late first or early 2nd ala Tanner Bruhn.

Clark would probably be worth even less. We tried to ship Clark + 9 for 3 and got turned down. If he asks to go to North next year then we probably get their 2nd rounder.

Not a chance we have 4x 1st round picks. No way.
