On the bench through injury for my team this season;Bad luck mate, We all get those years
Last year, I’ve had a forced trade almost every week - I could have done with some boosts!
This year, I had much more luck.
I’ve started with a good side and made it progressively worst via trading - but, at least it was my doing![]()
Replace Essendon with St Kilda,and my list is the same. I have 2 GWS/1 Tige at the moment thou so its not a total exclusion zone.It's strange how that happens. Historically players from certain teams just seem to be SC poison. And it's not a small list. For me GWS, Port, Richmond, Sydney, StKilda and West Coast have been terrible. Over a 20 year period there's been very few exceptions from those teams, including Deledio before he was injured, Rance and possibly Short from Richmond, Montagna and Riewoldt from Saint Kilda and Hurn form WCE. Otherwise those teams have produced injury prone, inconsistent, season destroying players by the score.
Collingwood have been great in the past, especially when Pendlebury, Swan, and more recently Grundy were playing well, but this year it's pushing to be added to the list too with successes like Daicos and Cameron being overshadowed by disasters like Crisp, Grundy and sadly Pendlebury. You may argue not all these players and players from other clubs I've listed haven't been all that bad. They may have had periods of great success and maybe even been successful overall, but not for me. They invariably turn to absolute garbage when included in my SC team. Crisp and Pendles being perfect examples with averages of 84 and 75 when in my team this season and averages of 107 and 106 when they weren't.

In saying that I've also had a little bit of luck with C/VC this season (I missed out on putting these numbers up in a thread a few weeks ago when they were discussed)On the bench through injury for my team this season;
r18 - Whitfield, Oliver
r17 - Parish
r16 - Butters, English
r15 - Parish, Butters, English
r14, r13, r12 were byes, can't remember who was injured
r11 - Whitfield, Preuss
r10 - Whitfield, Ridley, Preuss
r9 - English
r8 - Ridley, Hewett, English
r7 - Hewett, English
r6 - English
Please don't ask what my rank is
Dawson can have a week off. I mean I'm already carrying Jelly this week but it's fine. This is why I have 23rd, 24th and 25th premos.
Just flarking come back and go large to make up for it, you useless, unreliable kents. Double tons in Round 22 would be acceptable atonement

Played 2's last week in a fwd role. No injury concerns.Any word on DAmbrosio? He’s my backup. If both Hall and Dawson miss I’ll be eating another 2 Krispy Kreme’s![]()
Hewett the only multi week injury hold this year that has worked IMO.On the bench through injury for my team this season;

Similar, horror run with injuries/late outs pretty much from round 1.It would make perfect sense. I've had at least 1 premo on the bench since R6, often 2.
2022 can get the f out of here
GWS has always been a disaster for me, yet I still went back to the Whitfield well and basically torpedoed my season.Replace Essendon with St Kilda,and my list is the same. I have 2 GWS/1 Tige at the moment thou so its not a total exclusion zone.
Oh, and well put, essentially totally agree.
of course Dawson is in doubt with illness
For 8 weeks prior to when I got Dawson in....8 tons in a row at an average of 125. Every single week I wondered, why doesn't he get tagged? Why is nobody on him EVER. The week I bring him in, random tag against hawks for an 80. Last week, no tag but I made the mistake of making him my VC...about 75 at HT and finishes on 90.
Why am I never allowed to have one trade in that does well and continues doing what they have been doing before I traded them in.
Now this week it's either out with illness or a heavy tag from Clarke for Dawson. It just never ever ends
I've concluded, the fact you only whinge about one player per week, means you must have absolutely nailed your other 29 in any given week.of course Dawson is in doubt with illness

kidding? I have at least 5-6 spuds every single week.I've concluded, the fact you only whinge about one player per week, means you must have absolutely nailed your other 29 in any given week.
Half your luck!
