It's Sunday 4th for anyone who can't mind-read the Swans twitter account.
Like it being on Sunday. Gives us the opportunity to take 3 or 4 extras to Melbourne for the seniors final (e.g. Ronke, Gould, Amartey, Cunners/Campbell), they can all fly back Saturday and not have to play immediately.

Well if we lose, that's 10k off our soft cap. Already lost some from Bud's appeal and also Covid breaches. Not worth it.

Who do we bring in in the event of Hickey going down? I don't think Sinclair or McAndrew are up to it. Might have to be a joint effort between Reid and Amartey...............
It'll be Reid and Amartey. Depending on how McDonald and McLean are going from the latest senior/reserves game, we could also play all 3 of the ruck/fwds, and at least use McLean when it's in the F50.

Cox needs to take a baseball bat and have a quiet word with Ladhams. Makes our team look like dicks if we tolerate our players taking pot shots off the ball. I hope we don't have another Barry Hall on our hands. We tolerated Hall dishing out love taps for far too long, because he kicked us big bags of goals. Why should we keep Ladhams if this sort of brain fade keeps happening?
Hickey/Reid is a solid combo to face Demons. What Reid lacks in ruck craft he makes up for in forward craft, contested marking and pressure around the ground. He's our best contested mark and only Mills, Rowbottom and Parker lay more tackles. He adds a goal/game average and, most importantly, he's played in eleven finals, including two grand finals.
Edit: Certain posts by caesar have reminded me that Ladhams' brain fades may be a result of untreated mental health issues, that he may be in need professioanl help and it's not for me to speculate about possible avenues for treatment. I accept that a baseball bat is no longer the tool of choice for treating complex mental health issues. Nonetheless, the club and Peter need to find a way to ensure this doesn't happen again.

Would really like to know what the story is with Lewis Taylor (unless I missed it)
If he’s injured then let us know or if he’s walked out for some reason let us know. It’s important for the reserves to put in a good showing and Taylor has been one of the best week in week out. Would be nice to have him in the team and putting his hand up in the unlikely case he is needed for firsts if the others don’t get up etc.
Whilst his career is on the line can’t begrudge that he has put in the work in the twos and had a decent year in that respect.

Should be enough quality to get the win. Really need at least another week of VFL to keep players fighting for spots in a prelim/GF. 2 weeks break is alright, but if it was 3 it starts to become a problem. At the start of the year if you'd said we'd make VFL finals, and win one, I'd have thought that was a pass mark.McLean and Taylor return from..?
