Throw Max Heath in up forward and 30% ruck. Let him draw defenders away from Max and Members. He can take a pretty good grab and knows how to kick a goal.
Simple fact he is our future, so why not give him an opportunity and develop start to him at senior level.

He’s huge too. Tallest on our list. Surely he draws defenders from pure height

He has an unfortunate knack of getting a crappy injury whenever a position opens up in the team and he has to gain match fitness again. I feel for the bloke...he just seems illl fated. The coaches seem a little adverse to playing him out if position too. Has he ever come in as a HFF or anything?

Not able to play forward at all. That’s how windy and Owen’s managed to keep their spots even playing shit at the start. Can carry them more there than the midfield

Coff adds a bit more actual one on one defending ability and significantly better intercept marking ability. Long’s faster than Clark hits hard and has speckie abilities

I mentioned (not in here) that if rhe price was right id look at trading hunter

Was one of my fav pkayers and had that promise, you could see it, and obviously id love him to take that next big step
But injuries and fitness have hampered him big time
Could we replace him/his position with what we already have on the list?

If we got another first round pick youd have to look at the scenario surely.

Would be a tough call yet im tipping he will still be a saint next year

Lets see what he can do without an interrupted run.. Kid has all the tools to be great just had rotten luck last 2 years.. It will turn and i want him in the RWB when it does!

Yeah...but just for hypothetical fun; just say a club see's the potential, and the fact that Clark hasn't yet reached his ceiling, and offers something that helps us nab a skilful young midfielder with both speed and endurance. Would you go for it? Clark would have some value...despite his horrendous injury run. We wouldn't get pick 8 back obviously, but we might get an early 2nd rounder that could be manipulated with other picks to move up the order, or if the gods smile at us...and the other club is clinically stupid, a late first. I'm not a gambler, but that is almost too good to refuse.
We don't have many guys to parcel up, but Clark is one we could cover and potentially gain from losing.

IMO an early 2nd rounder for Hunts isn't close to being 'too good to refuse'.

GC are stacked with early picks... if this did eventuate then they can do us a solid & Hunts can be our 'Lachie Weller'.

Easily 1 of our best kicks, he’s very good off both feet and has to be up there with Gresham and Sinclair for creative ball use. How many in our team could have made that kick he hit Higgins with last week, just stupid to talk about trading Clark unless it’s for a ridiculous offer.

To revisit one of gt‘s thoughts on the effect of guys getting belted, how do you think you’d pull up after having you face smashed in ?. If you‘re an establish superstar the media cant stop taking about it and you’re bravery. Let’s just relax and hope he has a big summer and a better run with injury. It’s not as though we’re talking soft tissue he’s been pole axed twice.

I can’t vouch for others, it I was talking ridiculous offer. Not a second rounder.
It would have to be #7.
And maybe they would offer it as they need another class half back, overstocked with mids and pick 7 is looking like a choice of mids.

Still if the club is confident he can get fit and move to the centre, happy to keep him, but if we got an offer like that and they don’t believe he can become that mid, could be a smart move.

I think he is a good kick.
I think his best traits are clean hands and finding space in congestion, that’s why I’d love him to make it as an inside mid.

Don’t know if he’s quick or defensive enough to hold down half back over some of the other guys we have.

The dumbest thing you can do in footy is trade a player because they've had a bad year, especially if one of the reasons is impact injuries.

Its like selling your car, fix the broken stuff "before" you sell it, otherwise buyers will think its worse than it really is.

Jesus wept, people are so impressed with a few beach biceps. Does anyone one here with any actual knowledge know how much the kid benches or how he goes in the time trails etc ?. If he‘s getting smashed in the gym by the dragons players then I’d be worried.

I hired a removals guy once and he was a skinny little bloke with chicken legs and arms even smaller. I watched in amazement as he carried out a couple of sizeable full pots one on each hand, even more so when I saw his chest scar from heart surgery.

No-one notice just how good Battle was this year. To go from a player that plenty were non plussed about losing to be in our best 10 players was a massive turn around.

Back on Bytel. To me he has the ability to be an AFL footballer, was just unlucky this season.
When we were up and about early we had few injuries and Windy and Naz were the youngsters getting blooded, the inside mid jobs were Steele, Crouch and to a lesser extent Seb, all were in fine form.
We started to get injuries and he was up but unluckily got injured. Really only came back fair late in the season
Reckon he can be a part of the team and hope he stays.

Doogs is not great but is our only tall. We looked very small with him out. He is a stopper but needs assistance, we need another key defensive back.
