Probably miss out on Crispy as well...

I've loved the egg but I'd pick fowler first. Feel he has more afl upside. We do need kpp but I'm not really in a position to judge the quality across state leagues. A small forward/high half forward is definitely someone we could use.I wouldn't have thought Eggy would be a real need at this point in time. Surely more pressing needs.
I'd even prefer to go for the rat.
I haven’t done the sums, but I’m wondering if this requirement is a factor in our selection? We haven’t had a game yet where all of Hartley, Jetta and Eggmolesse-Smith have played. After our over 22 AFL players and I assume our two VFL captains there wouldn’t be a lot of flexibility left.

I don't believe that we're hiding him either. At the end of the year we can add him as a DFA, so if he's willing to hide and we want him, he'd be ours anyway.View attachment 1388421
With today's line-up, a quick look says that from our AFL list there's Henry, Macrae, Draper, Kelly, Ruscoe, Poulter, Murley, McMahon, Chugg and Harrison who were all under the age of 22 at January 1 this year. Only Cox doesn't count, of the 11 AFL players in the team. Campbell Hustwaite, Jack Raines and Zach Molloy from our VFL list also qualify, so with 13 players there we've nearly doubled the requirement of 7 "young" players in the side.
The Eggmolesse-Smith situation just doesn't make sense to me! While he looked very good in our VFL side, the idea that we might be "hiding" him for the mid-season draft seems too far-fetched, since he's a known quantity, and it's quite possible we won't be taking a player anyway! I'd be more suspicious if Sam Fowler suddenly "disappeared", because his form of late has been alarmingly good, so much so that if they were thinking of having a selection and fancied him they might be concerned that he's likely to be attracting too much attention!
I think someone suggested he was being hidden for the mid season draft. Wouldn’t be the first time we did that either, we did the same with Wills in his draft year.Going through the WRFL scores… Derek Egolesse- Smith played and was BOG for point cook today…
Somethinggoing on
13 possessions against a fairly poor side with majority midfield time isn’t very encouraging.I didn’t catch it in full last week, but when I did he was running through the middle. He was nominally a mid today as well and by nominally I mean he did nothing in what was a fill ya boots match. Turning back the clock if I’d have known how poor Coburg were no way would I have suggested Henry in the guts…
It'd be strange to have committed to him in the MSD so early - when someone may have poked their head higher, we didn't have a pick at the time and he'd be available to us at the end of the year without drafts.I think someone suggested he was being hidden for the mid season draft. Wouldn’t be the first time we did that either, we did the same with Wills in his draft year.
He s been on Richmond list before. Back flanker who's really clean and smart. Richmond bigfooty fans felt he was a bit soft.
We should hide the Brown bothers , oooops , sorry , they manage that themselvesI think someone suggested he was being hidden for the mid season draft. Wouldn’t be the first time we did that either, we did the same with Wills in his draft year.
2nd game as a mid after playing as a defender I'd suggest its still a learning experience for him. He did a lot of nice things, I felt. Encouraging signs. If its something they are persisting with then I'd expect he'll get better with it the more he trains/plays there.13 possessions against a fairly poor side whit majority midfield time isn’t very encouraging.
I think that's quite reasonable, but just feel if Chugg is going to make it he's going to have to do it as a small defender, as I cannot see him as an AFL midfielder. He's probably happy that he's adding strings to his bow, but I still don't think the move is doing him any favours at all! I think it's the backline or bust for Isaac, and the quicker he gets back there the better!2nd game as a mid after playing as a defender I'd suggest its still a learning experience for him. Cox is 211 cm right? so 6ft 11 inches ..Or it gives Cox the rocket that he needs to pull his finger out, play 1st ruck and use his 7ft2 frame as it should be
What about Ginnivan and McCreery?I've loved the egg but I'd pick fowler first. Feel he has more afl upside. We do need kpp but I'm not really in a position to judge the quality across state leagues. A small forward/high half forward is definitely someone we could use.
Really, there’s no reason why Cox shouldn’t be delivering these types of performances in the ruck at VFL level. He would be up against very raw developing kids.Or it gives Cox the rocket that he needs to pull his finger out, play 1st ruck and use his 7ft2 frame as it should be
His name on social media is/was Mason Sixten Cox.Cox is 211 cm right? so 6ft 11 inches ..
Fowler looks significantly faster than both - but I doubt that’s enough to give him a spot. What about Ginnivan and McCreery?
He was horrible.13 possessions against a fairly poor side whit majority midfield time isn’t very encouraging.
McCreery is the fastest player on our list and one of the quicker ones in the competition.Fowler looks significantly faster than both - but I doubt that’s enough to give him a spot.
If MCCreery is faster than Fowler, then I can’t see any case for picking Fowler in the MSD.McCreery is the fastest player on our list and one of the quicker ones in the competition.
Because speed is a good AFL attribute to have a plethora of?If MCCreery is faster than Fowler, then I can’t see any case for picking Fowler in the MSD.
It’s a question of priorities in the MSD - we need KPD not another small.Because speed is a good AFL attribute to have a plethora of?
