Does anyone remember if Brad Scott hated rookies or not?

Don't remember North being a SC friendly team under him, dunno if that was a player thing or a coach thing.

Think I only ever owned Goldy and Boomer, maybe Swallow one year.

McDonald is the only good Kangaroo rookie I can remember from his tenure.

Cunnington too, I'd imagine. And Atley.

Was it coaching or personnel though? When Atley is one of your better performing rookies over that decade, I'd probably lean towards the latter. I mean superstar Kayne Turner debuted while he was still in high school.

Can recall McDonald being pretty decent.

Don't think Cunnington was ever relevant, I definitely fell for the Atley trap one year too.

Grundy to Melbourne being pretty much confirmed probably kills both of them from an SC perspective until Gawn retires or unless one of them is injured.

Only just sinking in how many extra hours that's going to add to my planning for next year.

Grundy might be worth it it Gawn is playing forward. One or both will be R/F too.

That presumably has to be the plan, but surely there's going to be shitloads of handover at ruck contests regardless. Hard to see Grundy contesting more than 70% of ruck contests.

And that's not even factoring in if they decide to play it based off of match-up.

Might have to pick Witts......

Sad Kristen Bell GIF

RIP to the set and forget Ultra Premo ruckman...

No to Gawn and Grundy in the same side
Maybe to Witts
No to Darcy with Jackson in the side
No to Englith with Lobb in the side
No to ROB because he's ROB
No to NicNat because he's got a s**t midfield/team around him
Maybe to Blicavs
Maybe to Nank
No to Goldy because he's old and they need to develop Xerri/CCJ
Yes to Marshall priced @ 92
No to Preuss because he's Preuss
Maybe to BigO
Maybe to Lycett if he's fit and solo rucking
Maybe to DCameron if he's solo ruck with McStay as the chop-out
Yes to Draper if he's the solo ruck (* off Phillips)

If they play round 1 as the solo rucks, I'm locking in Marshall and Draper

I mulled over Big O this year, but his 88.5 average doesn't inspire much confidence in me that he'll be good value.

Only scored back to back tons once this year.

Titch priced at a 96 average, at the Pies, where he'll get every CBA and his job will be to win the hard ball and extract to De Goey/Crisp/Daicos/Pendles, has to be considered. If he's fit and has a good preseason, I can see him getting back to his piggy best. He'll have a point to prove too.

What's the knock on ROB? At least has a massive ceiling.

Draper is a genuine garbage truck.
He actually averaged less when solo (70.8), including the game where Phillips was subbed out with 9% TOG.
Never broke the tonne when solo, only tonned 3 times for the season.

One solo game he had 35 hitouts for 34 points.

One game where Bryan played he scored 6 points.
6.

He had 18 CBAs to Bryan's 5, 73% TOG too.

6 points.

Wildly inconsistent .....I would never pick ROB ....and plays for my team
6th for total points and average in the rucks this year.

Pretty durable too.

Could do a lot worse.

Look like it's gonna be a pretty ordinary line up to pick from next year.

He's a good player, just turned 24, another preseason under his belt. Rucks come on around this age. If he gets a good run with injuries, I reckon he'll be a top SC ruckman in the future. Will it be next year? Maybe not. But I reckon it's coming.

Apologies in advance for not being the correct thread, but it looks most active.

Fellow top 1k alumni, has anyone received their prize pack from KFC yet?

It’s been over a month now since I sent them my address in an email and I haven’t received it yet.

Last year, it came pretty quickly… just over a week.
