I think the reason he’s dropped down the order a bit this year is he hasn’t shown any aptitude to move inside and use his size in stoppages or to win contested ball. Nonetheless, I think he shows great potential as goal-kicking wing and happy to take him here to replace the retiring Isaac Smith

unbelievably talented kid who has had a disappointing year.
his strengths are kicking, decision making, ability to mark the footy.
his weaknesses this year is struggles with ongoing niggles, lack of intensity/competitiveness and not getting enough of the footy
i think Ashton will benefit getting out of SA and the pressure of being a high draft pick
he can absolutely play but has to play at his best the whole game.
iAshton would be a test of our new emphasis on development however ironically enough I think blake caracella
