Do not like. Precautionary or not, Touk was in the shape of his life according to my non expert opinion.
TOUK Miller has sent a scare through the Gold Coast camp, leaving Friday's match simulation early with a tight hamstring.

Miller played the first quarter of the hit-out before leaving the Suns' training field and did not return to play.

Love a dollar for every hammie niggle I saw at this time of year. Unless he strains or tears it I wouldn't be too concerned in February!

Bedford out for 12
Daniels don't know

Wonder if we see any changes no Hill Bedford and Daniels means surely a small forward spot opens up

Darcy Jones will get a gig now, will probably only average 40 but it’s better than nothing I suppose

Add in Ellis managing a calf (Aiming for round 1) and Charlie Constable will get all the kick out's in the next 2 weeks now
Shadow89 it sounds like your favourite endurance athlete might be a chance for D5 mate. Party at yours to celebrate?

I said it once and I'll say it again -

I think RowellAnderson12 mentioned in a post in the defenders thread that those other Suns defenders are likely back for round 1 anyway and old mate Constable likely only plays a week or two.

And yet still I’m kind of tempted.
I mean his competition for a spot for many of us will be with the likes of Jayden Hunt. Not exactly a hard contest to win…

Hunt was at least brought in to be Best 22, and has a tank. Constable is fringe at best, is playing in a position he wasn't even drafted for, and is behind so many others when it comes to the pecking order.

Who knows, it could work out, but I can't see a world in which placing Charlie 'I can't run out more than half a game' Constable in your side, doesn't end in heartbreak

Excatly. The Best 22 factor would win out for me. Constable’s JS is just too much of a risk for me to consider him.

If Constable can defend in the slightest, his JS could go up.

Not hard to look good as a distributor in preseason.

Least he has 2 weeks to show us if he's up to it, he had the same role in the VFL in the second half last year. Looked good but its VFL, how will he go defending Isaac Heeney/Luke Parker types in Round 1?

Constable has become mates with our golden group of (Rowell, Anderson, Luko, King & Ballard) so there may be mate rates.... I really dont like Constable its such a trap but opportunity is there

Hunt has shown next to zero scoring ability though. So I’d rather save $57k and take a punt on somebody who has shown he can score. If he gets dropped after 2 weeks so be it, at that point you drop down to a rookie that you missed (and can choose from either the midfield or defence if you have some DPP action happening). It’s risky sure but not as risky as first glance

Ultimately I would rather pick neither so it’s a moot point if some decent rookies get named

I'd agree on the "don't like either" position. The one thing I'd add to the Hunt thing though is the notion he's never scored well. Just on that side of things I wonder if it's being a little overblown. Very different circumstances for him at WC v Melb. He appears to be being looked for by WC players when they move the ball and he was nowhere near the head of that que when at the D's. I'd think he'll get a decent bump just because at WC there is no Salem, Brayshaw, Langdon, Petracca, Oliver etc etc. Just a notion that's has been sitting in my head about him.

Could say the same about Petrevski-Seton in 2022, new recruit speed & skills, went on to average 50

Bastards - Bedo was going so well too!

So you are saying Constable is likely to be directing traffic then?????

At his price, Constable is one I'll look to bring in after a couple of weeks into the season proper .....just too speculative, no history, and I'm not getting fooled by PS games .....sounds awfully like a Hunter Clark type pick

so back to the drawing board then?

Clark is a speculative pick ....they're the type of picks that can ruin a Fantasy season

I still use historical averages to choose players ....at least until the season is under way ....McGrath (ESS) is another that falls under that category, with everyone talking about his new HBF role .....seeing is believing
