If anything, maybe a upgrade later in the season. He can throw in a stinker and getable at 450k.
at 500k hes already priced at a 90 avg. i dont see him going any lower than that at all. picking up a midfielder in the fwd line for 500k who can avg 100 screams yes to me.

I feel Taranto is priced right At 500k Following his last few years and his 2022 scores below, I believe you can pick him up for around $430-450k later on.

New team, new role, new stretching of the pantaloons, suspect a bit of CD lipstick will be applied.

The other thing to remember with Taranto was that Cameron loved to play him forward for stints. A lot of those games where he scored like poo was played with chunks in the forward line and his score reflected that role. Doubt that happens at tigers

This is his main selling point for me, that he will be one of the main mid's. He's not likely to spend that much time forward with Bolton and Martin in the team.

Yep, only 44% CBA for the year. Even Thompson Dow was getting more than that at the Tigers when getting a game.

Even off those scores highlighted above it's pretty clear.

R6 - 32%
R9 - 57% (actually his 2nd highest for the season)
R15 - 30%
R20 - 20%
R23 - 23%

Imagine he'll be #3 or #4 for CBAs at the Tigers, behind Prestia, Cotchin and probably Hopper.
Prestia will most likely miss a couple and Cotch will definitely get rested at points, so there will be times were he's even higher up the pecking order.

What would be the order of these RICH mids for speed over 2 mtrs ..... Players like Oliver and Laird are so effective at CBA's, because of their speed over 2 mtrs ....able to still get to ball / player when the ball hasn't bounced their way

It's what makes Shai Bolton such an effective CBA player IMO

Seems like there are a fair few blokes coming back from injury priced at top-end rookie prices.
Oscar Allen, Toby McLean, Ben King etc.
They might be slightly slow-burn, but it will be good if they can get to the starting line.

Tigers have a number of potential options.
Taranto disposal iffy, but as FWD he seems really solid value, was just about first picked tbh.
Hopper picks himself if right to go.
Could mount arguments for Dusty and Shai.
Richmond might rebound pretty hard this year, still got the quality.

Don't want to trigger anyone, but Fyfe - he on track for Rd 1?
He can score in any role / part of the ground and he only has to string a couple of months together to serve his purpose(?)

Just pick 'em all like A Bit Dusty :moustache:

Being serious though, Richmond even at their best aren't a high scoring SC side. Not likely many are the among the best options. I like Hopper, maybe Taranto the butcher. Not sure about too many others though.

My worry with Taranto is he seems to have a cap of a 100ish average. I don't see him having much upside at 500k. He's an ok pick if he does that but I think other forward options have the same upside at a cheaper price. Watchlist for certain just incase the move improves him. But I think I would prefer others for the same price or cheaper. Eg cunners, Cameron, Fyfe, butters or rozee.

I think he is one everyone will take and it will be a safety in numbers pick assuming he gets through preseason injury free.

Agreed, put him in and have a plan for someone else in case he misses round 1.

I don't know about that. He was played forward far too often for mine at GWS. Won't happen at the Tigs, I think he goes up another level personally.

Current forward line is costing me a little in other areas....but I'm struggling to kick any of these guys out. Might have to use dpp to shift one to the mids...??

Trade Cameron/Rat/Sheez to 3 x $124k rookies and go shopping in the Midfield or Defence to another Premo

Cameron is a strong hold and I reckon Sheezel will be a worthy starter. Ratugolea the one I'm not decided on. Will watch his PS and others that are cheaper

Bad idea to start tha Shiznit and Rat in my team? Did I read Ratugolea was heading to defence?
I don't like anymore than $124k players on the bench.

I'm planning on two premo's and Fyfe at F3. Too many cheap options.

Maybe turn Cunnington into Allen?

Allen has been in a few of my teams. Not fully convinced he's a worthy starter but that might change. If Cunners is fit he should be a pretty solid fwd selection at his price yeah?

edit: isn't it late where you are?

Not sure who’s spot he is taking. Ratulgolea purely back up in defence at this stage.

Neale should get a decent look forward early while Hawkins is out.
