Melbourne’s High Performance Manager Selwyn Griffith said the ruckman was making positive progress in his program.
“Gawny had a great re-introduction to running over the weekend and continued to progress today with getting into high-speed,” Griffith told Melbourne Media.
“He’s started to work on some of his ruck-specific skills as well, so it’s a really great move forward for him.”

Well I was hoping for an injury report that extended the recovery dates, not reducing it. He's ahead of the original 4-6 weeks. What are you going to do Steve ...bring Grundy in ?
I'm taking the risk .....Grundy will make $100K + in the next 4 weeks .....and Gawn will be eased back inWell I was hoping for an injury report that extended the recovery dates, not reducing it. He's ahead of the original 4-6 weeks.
Dunno if it's worth it.
Not because of the trade, screw the trade, we got plenty, but because it'll be in upgrade season, and can we afford to waste an upgrade to sideways Grundy to English/Witts? Maybe Gawn will return and play mostly forward... who knows...
Food for though...
