And finally: The Alternate Facts. What happens when you take the votes and put it through a system used by another team's board?
Just a fun exercise into what might have been if we were like other boards, and is usually a clean sweep for one person but not always the 426 winner.

First up is the GWS one, where they take all the votes, figure out who got what percentage of votes and that's how many votes they get.

Next is the old Freo Board system which would give points to anyone who got over 2% of the votes, go 7 through to 1 and continue with the 1s until they ran out of players. A little complicated and in some cases, a good indicator of good team performance on the night.

Next is your standard Top 5 system. The difference between this and the one used for the 426 is that the 426 rewards players for having more Top 5 finishes and you don't need 5 5th place finishes to catch up to 1 1st place finish. Used once in 2006.

The Top 3 system that was used in the early days of the 426. This can be known to be wildly different from the system used today but that's what happens with so few points on offer.

Firstly, what the average voter gave each player each week. Green spots mean they got votes that round, even if it was just 1 person who gave them a vote.

This brings us to the individual votes of the 6 people who gave out the most votes. The purpose of this is not to call anyone out, this is purely for fun. This isn't an accurate way to show which players these 6 people liked the most this season, we're simply looking at who they voted for the most.

Top 5, then we have who they voted for more compared to the average above and how many times they are likely to vote for someone. The bottom 2 are who they voted for less compared to the average and how many times they were likely to not vote for someone.

People were often not giving out their full allotment of 12 votes. It is quite annoying when you're trying to figure out who the best player is for the round and people only give out a handful of votes because they're that mad at the performance. I reckon there's gonna be a rule change next year as this was probably the worst year for voting since 2008.

This cannot be run properly without people voting so I'd like to thank those of you who did vote and voted often. Thank you, even if you only voted once or if all you did was read these end-of-year posts. Thank you to the people who mod this board and until next time... idk cya.
