I thought it was the best we’ve played in several weeks.

Kudos to the Dees, they are better than us and a top 4-6 side. Certainly have the midfield to match and beat ours.

Young looks a better second ruck than JSOS. I would persevere with Young in this role.

TDK I thought won his fair share of ball in contested situations. Motlop too. Harry best game / kicking in several weeks too. Kemp growing.

We still struggle with ball movement and kicking into F50, saw some improvement with the latter.

Hardly sighted but needed their run: Cottrell, O’Brien, Fisher, Owies. Saad in second half. Docherty not enough impact. McGovern in patches.

Walsh was caught a few times, can’t remember Cripps getting a kick without being under pressure. Kennedy one of his better games this year. Cerra well held. Not sure who played on Langdon out of Acres, O’Brien and Cottrel.

That first half. Just about the most depressing of the year. SO much discussion about our rubbishly slow ball movement and we come out and do the exact same god awful bullshit. There are a lot of queries about this team but the question on Voss has been answered.

He cannot coach. He just cannot coach.
Genuinely curious, did you go to the game or watch it on tv?

Can’t believe Voss just said this in the post-match presser:

‘We couldn’t get our offense going at times, but I felt nourishment in our strong defense’

‘Our ability to score was certainly lacking, but somehow I feel strangely nourished by our other efforts around the ground’

‘I feel a sense of nourishment and pride despite the loss. Within our defensive system, there is nourishment to be had’

‘I was overcome by an intense feeling of nourishment as I watched parts of tonight’s game. The boys nourished me in a way I never knew was possible’

I’ve asked this question a lot but no one’s been able to answer it.

I went to the dogs game last year and at half time I’ve never been so pumped.Scoring was high our forwards were on fire game plan was awesome.

Personal is relatively the same.Injuries up to know have been ok.
So please answer this question for me.

WTF has happened with us this year?????????
It's the added layers..

I agree.

Never said a bad word about Voss until the last couple of weeks but at some point you just have to call a spade a spade.

these running ballistically at the ball carrier and sticking an arm out to tackle just has to stop.

run at the body ffs. dont fall to the ground unless you bring the oppo to ground also.

seriously we should get a rugby coach in to teach tackling
that run through while missing the tackle caper is just pea heartedness mate- dont let it fool you....sad but true. Players can find all sorts of ways to make missed tackles look like not their fault...

Motlop/Owies/Cotrell only ever make real content if a bloke runs into them ... same for Fisher and LoB.

real tacklers go at teh man either increasing speed or slowing to make sure no evasion is possible - these blokes run a straight line to teh side of their opponent opening a door for them.

Don't agree with your head count Mike. Successive weak efforts and missed tackles do not equate to AFL standard games. Dont talk to me about pea heat McGovern.
TDK Definately, AFL standard. Manful effort one out against two first class rucks.
Crippa was better than ok. Curnow was invisible.
Who was that running around in Walshy's jumper?
I was being generous, but agree the list is terrible. Next year we will know if walsh's loss of pace is permanent and his career is at half back flank

Walsh and Cripps so far from their best in that game it is ridiculous.

Cerra was solid. Harry played well. Charlie was p!ss poor then had a laugh with the opponents after the game.

O'Brien shouldn't play again. Picking him in front of Binns. I mean really?!

Cincotta was so good on Pickett.

Kemp had some great moments but Fritsch got him a couple of times.

Saad so far off his best.

Gov terrible early but got better.

TDK dropped too many marks including a sitter 10m out in the 2nd quarter. 8 disposals nowhere near enough for a mobile ruckman.

The Doc as a midfielder experiment is not working at all.
This is not a joke: does anyone know if LOB holds the record for the most number of kicks out on the full from a no pressure kick or mark?

* we are so boring to watch as a football side. How has it changed so much in 12 months?
The first half of last season we were entertaining even for neutrals to watch.

What have we done to Doc and Saad? Were probably the best two half backs in the comp now have been neutered.
I really hope O'Brien isn't sighted in the senior team again.
We desperately need to find an effective small forward with some speed.

I haven't been on the "sakc" train yet, but he is in trouble if the Dons get us next week and they probably will.

Positives for tonight Kemp, Harry, Cerra and a half from Cripps.

I’ve said in other posts, I’m giving him until the Gold Coast game. We lose our next 2, I want him gone and I think he will be gone.

So how about those impactful 'ins'....
LOB, zero impact, zero use, headless chook
JSOS, not a ruckman, so why play him, so he gets injured??
Cincotta, must stay, play every game we have one
Fisher, absolute zero impact, use, pressure, stamp his papers, gone
Young, better, marginally though, did better in the ruck...
Dow, 9 possessions in 50% game time for a half equals somewhere around 40 for a full game.....

Now how about the potential alternatives
Binns
O'Keefe
Cowan
Marchbank

By the way how good is Kemp?

Tackling of all types in all areas from all players is way below standard.
