"Dubious defensive positioning" he took 10 marks, 7 intercepts and 3 contested.

Doesn't happen without good positioning. Kid will be a star, needs a good run of games at AFL level.
His opponent had 18 possesions, 5 shots on goal and 8 score involvements - equal most on ground. He was soundly beaten despite taking many nice marks. He was all or nothing and needs to tighten up or (better) move forward. He has multiple goals kicked against every week.

I’ve said in other posts, I’m giving him until the Gold Coast game. We lose our next 2, I want him gone and I think he will be gone.
As much as I don't want to go through the whole sacking a coach again, and I think the blame is more on the players....
but if we lose the next two that will be 9 from 10, it would almost be untenable.

I’ve asked this question a lot but no one’s been able to answer it.

I went to the dogs game last year and at half time I’ve never been so pumped.Scoring was high our forwards were on fire game plan was awesome.

Personal is relatively the same.Injuries up to know have been ok.
So please answer this question for me.

WTF has happened with us this year?????????

The serious answer is that we added layers to the gameplan. And those layers are there to address goal leakage. They’ve had the perverse outcome of also stifling our ball movement.

Other teams also figured out how to nullify our centre bounces.

Dow barely played and somehow racked up more metre gained than Walsh and Cripps.

The useless hand balls from the "stars" makes the disposals sheet look pretty but it's garbage to watch.
Yeah I get handballing to a player who’s facing our goals but why handball to someone who’s facing the wing? Strange stuff

I actually think instead of trying to add the defensive layers we should have embraced that beautiful brutal ballistic style and just worked on fitness so we could do it for longer. The issue was we ran out of steam.

We are almost to the point where we just back in Kemp and Cinc for the season. Really liking how they are improving.
There is a really good player in TDK, I hope we can find it.
Cerra great, Kennedy and Cripps battled away.
Harry and Weitering I liked a lot.

Something is broken when this side can’t score week after week like this

My thoughts exactly...how has it gotten this bad ? We played some sintilating footy last year...surely we just needed to tinker and fine tune our game plan to launch into the 8.

Trying to believe in Voss but I think he is well in over his head. Bringing in O'Brien over Binns and the continuous refusal to select Dow, further illustrate he is clutching at straws...

This is not a joke: does anyone know if LOB holds the record for the most number of kicks out on the full from a no pressure kick or mark?

He doesn't just kick it out on the full. Absolutely nailed Brayshaw on the chest a few times.

In fairness ne did do that one excellent pass to Harry in the forward line.

Langdon: 25
Hunter: 22

Acres: 18
LOB: 9

Cottrell seemed to be HFF for a large chunk of the game but not 100% sure.

It is simply inexcusable that we are now in this position. Pretty much half way through the season with no hope of laying finals. Somebody needs to be held accountable for this disaster.

This isn't the 1980s. It's a team defence.

Fritsch took a mark in the square with 3 Carlton players on him. Not one killed the contest. But yeah pot the kid that turned up.

Players talk on the ground and hand over assignments etc. Really stiff to lay that all on Kemp.

I'd be more worried about the defensive positioning and play of McGovern and for that matter Young before Kemp.

Barring an injury emergency, these players should have a black line ruled through their name: Boyd, Cottrell, Dow, Motlop, O'Brien, Owies, Silvagni. Aside from West Coast (and then only maybe) they would not get a game at any other club.

Your harsh on a couple when your low on confidence everyone looks bad.
