Pretty good assessment.

I think I'd have Logan Morris in Tier 1. Nick Watson close too.
Harley Reid isn't Chris Judd level just yet. I still think he's got a long way to go. I'd have Morris and Watson ahead of Reid at this point. But the long game would suggest Reid will rise above.

Third year from this draft, normally when we start to see players step up, tiers are unordered but this is what I have so far.

Tier 1
Harley Reid
Tier 2
Logan Morris, Joel Freijah, Colby McKercher, Shaun Mannagh Dan Curtin, Nate Caddy, Nick Watson
Tier 3
Ryley Sanders, Lawson Humphries, Connor O'Sullivan, Ethan Read,
Tier 4
Darcy Wilson, Harvey Thomas, Caleb Windsor, Jed Walter, Archie Roberts, Hugo Garcia, Calsher Dear, Will Graham, Joe Fonti, Zane Duursma
Don’t think Reid is ahead of anyone. There’s a few in tier 2 who are on par.

Watson, Freijah, Morris in particular.

morris is ahead of reid.

o'sullivan is equal to the guys you have at tier 2

zan duursma and jed walter have shown nothing compared to the other guys you have in tier 4. unless you are ranking on where they were taken in draft i think theye well behind the likes of wilson, garcia and dear.

Logan Morris and Joel Freijah (in any order) are the clear 1 & 2 from the 2023 draft.

Crazy to think about looking back considering how hyped the top 10 were, that the best two players were pick 31 and 45.

Yeah Watson is Tier 1, he is just a big game player you can't ignore it.
Amoung my Port fanbase I'm unpopular with my like for Watson. He's exactly the player I would love in a Port Jumper. He's really stepped it up this year from a mid tier forward to becoming a dependable player when needed. He's already overtaken rachele in my opinion and could easily become the best small forward/mid combo since Robbie Gray and before that Shannon Grant although slightly different player.

I think he's just one of those players people want to hate on.

I can also see McKercher and Duursma stepping up to tier 1. Duursma had a breakout game last week that should give him more confidence.

Controversial but actual current output

1. Colby Merkercher
2. Joel Freijah
3. Shaun Manage
4. Archie Roberts
5. Harley Reid
6. Logan Morris
7. Nick Watson
8. Riley Sanders
9. Dan Curtain
10. Darcy Wilson
Yeah, Watson is much higher than that.

McKercher has some doubts atm. Still a work in progress.

1. Watson
2. Morris
3. Freijah

Throw a blanket at this stage

I'd put Watson #1, Reid lower because he's been disappointing.

No way Watson is in the Logan & Freijah tier

Current output if you mean the last 4 weeks.

Reid and Morris are clear 1 + 2 on total output and also future prospects if re drafted. Throw a blanket over the next 4-5.

Would take O’Sullivan over a few of those names also.

im fine to debate why;

Watson has been inconsistent. Improving but inconsistent in a position on the ground not used to consistent output.

McKercher has been very good almost since day 1. He has runs on the board and despite some hiccups, continues to produce and is now a key driver in the Roos push up the ladder. Expect his output to go another level in 2026.

Reid has been forced to carry a midfield (club?) on his back since day 1. His output has been impressive for a club in the doldrums as much as WCE are.

If anything, Morris one could argue is low. Digging deeper, he went goal less in 4/26 games last year, impressive for a 2nd year key forward. He was the one probably the most difficult to place

im comfortable with where they are at.

Reid's ill discipline sees him fall imho but improve this and he should end up being a clear number 1 at the end of these boys careers.

Harley has the most coaches votes, the most Brownlow votes and has won the AFLPA best 1st year player.

Morris has won 2 premierships kicked 80+ goals and played 47 games more than anyone else in this draft. Watson has played 46 and kicked 60+ second most games and goals from anyone else from this draft.

Actual output those 3 have alot going for them, although so do McKercher, Mannagh and Freijah. Its not convincing one way of the other it's the finer details that might seperate them like, how they have gone in big games, body of work and their scope moving forward.

Your Archie Roberts call is just bizarre and I really like him as a player but this is not it.

This person plays fantasy football.

Three of the best five players out of 2001 came from selections 36, 40 and 58.
