amazing the debates we get here about some of these types of moves

some were saying how badly kemp performed as forward and today we see the exact opposite

so many saying some of the vfl players weren't ready

today they made a real difference - i never took any notice of Moir up until today...man he could be a star

amazing what can happen when you give a kid an opportunity
Moir is an impact player. Was always going to benefit playing in a better side and level. A full pre season and he could be anything. It's up to him now, the talent is undeniable.

yeap him and a few others need a good hit out in the gym

hopefully this spurs on a few of the other newbies to work hard and seek an opportunity in the seniors

You would think, having waited until the eleventh hour to release the Round 24, fixture, the AFL would have been able to avoid also-rans in a dead rubber on the Friday night

Did shed an entirely involuntary tear when Moir's goal went through. Couldn't tell you why, especially because (like everyone else watching live on TV) I had no real idea what had just happened!

Days like today are for the true believers, and I will carry it with me for a long time - today was rich nourishment for the off-season, no matter how 2024 pans out. Maybe next week we die. But today... today, we eat, drink, and be merry. And rightly so.

Cripps is a machine. Born leader. This man deserves a flag so much. Hope we can deliver him one in the next few years.

George. Sensational. So clean. Loved his game.

Cowan is a beauty. Tough as nails. to develop into one hell of a player.

So good to see us play positive, attacking, free flowing footy.

Kemp forward. We've been wanting to see it. We got it. We loved it. Leave him there forever. Perfect 3rd tall for us.

Loved Lords first half. Clean. Made good decisions. Good by hand. Tough. He stays in the team.

I slapped Pitto during the week. But he bounced back tonight. Been out of form for some time but he responded. Need that intensity from him if we make finals.

Loved Moirs goal. Pure class. The kid has talent. Let's hope we see him reach his potential
Was Cowan an Austin selection?
What about Lord, Moir and Cincotta? He traded in Elijah for basically nothing as well. Oh we all saw what level Durdin can play too today.

Needs to get some credit when it's due.

I said a couple of weeks ago that I didn't want this team to play finals.

I now say that I do want THIS team to play finals. This team, not necessarily the exact personnel, but these guys who play four quarters, have each other's back, who lower their eyes kicking inside 50.

I didn't want us to make finals while playing terribly, by default. The way we played today, I'll back them in every week.

Yes that’s right, the true believers, the sweetest victory of all.

Are we back? Surely we're back!

I know West Coast aren't great but that's the best footy we've played in over a month.

Loved the changes, even if some were forced. Loved the debutants, and loved the way blokes stepped up, especially Ollie and Kempy.

Patrick Cripps is an absolute beast! No words needed for his efforts today.

Career best games from Kemp, Ollie, Durdin and Cowan. If Elijah had converted just one of his shots, would’ve been almost a career best game for him too. The debutants showed plenty, almost couldn’t have asked for more from them. Huge growth from the young guys today, while statement performances from the older brigade. Terrific team performance with our backs well and truly against the wall

No agenda... Maybe I am harsh on him.

I'll admit didn't realise only 30 games thought he had more for gold coast.
I am with you on Elijah - he has an unfortunate propensity for eye-catching mistakes. That cross-field kick to Binns early on was awful - we were dead as soon as it hit the ground. Also missed a couple of goals running onto his left that I would expect a player of his skill to kick.

It's unfortunate that his form dropped off pretty much immediately after he signed his new contract... but it has been a long season for all our guys, and there's no doubt he is feeling it physically. He would never have worked the way Carlton has required him to work every week this year... and injuries to our other runners would only be increasing his load. For all his mistakes, I was impressed by the ground he covered today, did really well to provide the outlet kick for our defenders.

As you say, only 30 games. Another pre-season will do him the world of good.

Banging out a ton of ‘I’s

First person once in a paragraph.

Punctuation is the cornerstone of language.

Just checking.😎👍

That's why I used 3 paragraphs.

People forget how good little Durds can be.

Yes he hasn't shown it nearly as much as we'd like in his career so far but what he has shown in some games at his best, is the stuff of no mug.

Hopefully can get him some continuity and confidence in his body.
I think that after we sort out his shoulder, we hand him over to Raz and let Raz teach him everything he knows about being a push up small forward. I mean he's halfway there already, but he really needs the goal sneak mentality.

These one handed tackles are now legal. The AFL approved change from Hardwicks whinge. It was a matter of time. NFI
I hope that he sues the AFL if his shoulder is worse than we expect. They showed the "tackle" in the highlights package. So they know that something is wrong there.
