List updates so far after the 2022 season:
Untitled presentation (1).jpg
New coach and it's looking likely that the VFL list is being overturned again, but three of those will still be around the club after being elevated to the AFL list. Kyle Dunkley is looking more and more likely to join the reserves list as well.

Also Rayner, the older brother of Cam. Have a gut feel Triffett will do well in the AFL given the chance.

Brisbane Lions set to sign second Dunkley

Brisbane is likely to have a second Dunkley brother don its colours next year, with Kyle Dunkley in discussions about joining the Lions’ VFL team for 2023.

Kyle Dunkley

Last played for Melbourne Demons in 2019
Games: 5 (AFL) Born: June 20, 2000 Origin: Gippsland Power
Playing Height: 185cm Playing Weight: 84kg
.........
What i could find
Played with the Northern Bullants VFL this year. They finished last with only 1 win.
They lost their last game 191 to 10 (0.10) to Werribee who finished 10th
Played the first 9 games then missed the last 8 not sure why. Hope he was in the bar for that last effort above

He averaged 16 disposals and 4 marks in those 9 games
He was listed as playing CHB or HBFR in those games. Have no idea how accurate that is. Possibly taken from teams named in media
Below link to his stats for those interested

He had thumb surgery in the middle of June, unsure if he returned to VFL

  • Round 1 will align with the second round of the AFL (March 25)
  • 18 matches, and 4 byes (again)
  • Grand Final to be played on September 24
  • Introduction of the wild card round, which will basically expand finals qualification from 8 teams to 10 teams.

More on the VFL changes for 2023

The major change from 2022 will come in the week after the end of the home and away season, with the teams that finish seventh to 10th on the ladder to face-off in two sudden death clashes on the weekend of August 26-27.

The winner of the 7th v 10th and 8th v 9th games will move through to the finals, while the losers will be eliminated. The top six teams will have a bye during the Wildcard Round.

The highest-ranked winner from the Wildcard Round will enter the finals as the seventh-ranked team.

I like it and I think it would be a great idea for the AFL too.
So that way there is no week off before finals essentially.
Well for teams ranked 7-10 anyway and saves us viewers twiddling our thumbs for that week off.
