Brisbane.. from reading here, everyone agrees they'll make it,, and why not, they're a bloody good side
Swans.. the 'experts' keep saying they've the best young players. This young group is now 12 months older. They rarely miss finals and should be there again this year
GWS.. Started playing like a footy team rather has an expansion club last season for the first time. Plenty of talent,, every chance they make it
Suns.. They might just scrape in this year (but heard that before)

How do the Vics cope if all four NSW & QLD clubs make the 8? (Port, Crows, Freo are also a chance)

Freo will not be playing finals.

13. North Melbourne. Will enjoy having a single - and demonstrably competent - coach for a whole season. Great midfield core of LDU + Thomas + Wardlaw will build consistency. Heavy reliance on youth and list gaps will prevent climbing higher.
Not to mention the defence, but…

Victorians don't give a shite, bud. They will only care for the fact only their side missed finals

Going to be another horrible year for them...

Are they just banking on the ball never entering their defensive half ?
Plus Goldstein played 20 games in 2023. They’ll miss him.

Out of all that lost experience, Goldy and McKay are the only departed players who we’d probably benefit from in 2024 tho.

Ziebell, Cunnington and Hall were well past it by 2023. Turner and Howe were barely AFL standard.

None of those 5 would have been in the best 22 in 2024.

We’ll essentially have the same onfield leaders in 2024 but with more skilful kids and much more outside pace.

I'd be fine with it?

1. Fitzroy Bears
2. Brittania
3. South Melbourne
4. Pivitonians

5. Port Magpies
6. SANFL
7. Cockatoos
8. Canberra

9. Southport
10. Fuchsias
11. South East Fremantle
12. Same olds
13. Footscray
14. We should never have joined this League
15. Wasps
16. Hotham
17. WAFL
18. Mayblooms

Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne pissed a bunch of games down the toilet this year through terrible conversion at goal.

Law of averages suggest they’ll fix this up next year. Plus Adelaide and Sydney have heaps of upside while Melbourne are capable of anything.

Therefore it’s feasible that these 3 clubs will be top 3.

You’ll essentially have less experience, younger bodies across the park and a poor backline, weakened even further.

Every single year there are genuine ladder surprises

Every single year people carry on like princesses in these threads because someone predicts a surprise

That's what I giggle at
Cool.
You won’t be giggling by the end of 2024

I think we can bounce back hard next year. A fit Sam Darcy going to be a unicorn. Our young boys coming through who were injured last year will have an impact and suprise and then you have Sanders who could be the best first year player given he's AFL ready body. Our biggest off season move was grabbing GWS fitness coach as we clearly couldn't run out any game

I feel like some of you non-Vic supporters don't understand our relationship with other Vic clubs.

Trust me, I will be fine if that happens
