Happy with it if we think we can get him right. I mean we still have Marchbank and Cunningham who are just as injury prone and have never produced seasons like he has. Even Martin has never produced seasons like him.

This list spot was otherwise going to a very late draft pick so worth the risk

A big statement that we can't afford to wait on others or the draft for the remaining weak spots on our list.

No more focus on developing the list but more on produce the flag/form.

The development bit now goes to the background.

Weirdly the Fogarty/Cunners contracts make Orazio's signing look a bit last minute. Still like it unless it drains next year's funds to get a player in.

btw BT pronounces his name incorrectly, that was a stitch up by Heppell and Orazio years ago

As I said my great grandfather shares his name. We’re the Italian club, let’s do better.

Correct pronunciation at :33 for convenience

Why would a club in the premiership window take a punt on a talented but injured player?

That’s exactly the club that should take the punt. At worst, he’s injured and not playing, taking up a list spot that would otherwise be taken by the 60th best 18 year old in the draft, who probably wouldn’t be playing either.
The last clubs that would want him are ones that don’t think they are in contention, because the best case is that he plays every match and he still won’t lift them to finals.

You answered your own question there. We need to improve our small forwards and on talent he's an Upgrade. Whether or not he can be consistently on the park is another question entirely.

ORAAAAAAAAZIOOOOO FANTAAAAAAAASIAAAA!!!

At least we can be confident that BT won't confuse him for Cuningham...

Let's hope this is less a Alex Fasolo move and more a Dean Rice move.

Fantasia is dynamic, a goal kicker and in the right age bracket to impact immediately in a contending team.

Fantasia’s injury history is well known.

No doubt Voss, Austin and Russell have weighed the pros and cons and decided to pull the trigger.

Tellingly, Cuningham and Owies were dropped at the business end of the season and the club have now secured Hollands and Fantasia.
Somewhat similar to our wing predicament at the corresponding time last year.

Curnow McKay and Martin are certainties when available.

Reckon 2 of Durdin Motlop and Fantasia play and 1 of Hollands Cuningham and Cottrell.

Martin Curnow Hollands
Durdin McKay Motlop

A trivia question for those playing at home

What was the last Carlton side to in a premiership without a former Essendon player on the list if not the GF day team?

Last two had Harry with Bolt in the latter.
