We're a solid KP short but I wouldn't necessarily consider us weak down back. We've got some of the best ball users in the comp back there in Blakey, Rampe, Roberts and Florent. McInerney even seems to have been pushing back a bit more often in recent weeks to link up as well.Yes they have generally been tight games between these 2 teams - I hope Francis will hold his own down back - should do, but we are weak down the back, which probably won't matter given the ball won't get past our mids![]()
Sets plate of toasties on the table and places feet on footstool.
Just getting ready for the game![]()
Whats the pre-clearance?A few of the Footy Live app stats for the week. A couple of interesting ones!
- we won the pre-clearance by 20 last week. Second best differential since 2013 (!)
- have conceded 22 goals to key forward this year, least of any club
- last 4 rounds only won 12.5% of offensive one-on-one contests, ranked last
- only one uncontested mark inside 50 last week. Only the 8th team EVER to win a match with one or less
- Heeney is only the third listed midfielder (and first since 2013) to kick goals in each of the opening 8 games

A lot of the stats I'm hearing about in recent weeks (ridiculous number of goals from the mids etc) suggest we're playing a very unique game style that shouldn't necessarily be as good as it is (and that makes me excited)A few of the Footy Live app stats for the week. A couple of interesting ones!

Originally I liked it because I knew the missus and the youngest would both be in bed when it starts, but now it just seems stupidly long to wait for the bounce.s**t time slot
Sorry should be pre-clearance contested possession. I updated itWhats the pre-clearance?

I guess it's just all about putting out the best possible team on the park. When it gets beyond 2 weeks its probably no good for the player or the team to go for a 3rdHorse has got into a bit of a habit of making the same player the sub two weeks in a row. Wicks first two games. Campbell was two in a row, now Fox. Forget the other few in order? Maybe shared between Warner Jr and Mitchell from memory.
