I thought the only person who had the experience out of both Sydney and Brisbane was Dew. I had been told the announcement was this week, that it was someone from a team playing in the GF.
Reckon I would have guessed Dew too...

Premiership winning coach of the NT thunder before that, been through a bunch of coaches, a rebuild since rock bottom, seen a place turn from poison to attractive to recruits....

Not high profile but some positives.
Coach of the year 2006. Doesn’t look old enough for all these accolades! 🤣

Davis seems to have gone on a very similar journey to Chris Fagan and has seen this club build from rock bottom to a premiership. Largely a defensive line coach, but was forwards coach in 2024.

The best thing is that he’s been there through their rebuild.

Thought maybe that was Jen’s bit of information as to why we have an advantage!
Surely can't hurt... along with 2 good mates & his partner close with Cumming's...

More money.
More midfield time.

Why no Wright? I think 9 said Davis is filling that role, I may have heard wrong though.
I thought Wright would be coming over to oversee the entire footy department, maybe shifting Kelly into a pure admin role. That’s different to this role. Leppitch is doing this same role at Collingwood.

Intriguing appointment.

I still hope we are making a big play for Graham Wright so we can boot Adam Kelly from that head of footy role.

Coaching Director hopefully seems far enough removed from Head of Football.

Still - a 'coach' from a premiership winning team should hopefully improve us. Literally ANYTHING is an upgrade on the rank and file we currently have.
