Yeah only difference is I was expecting a senior listed player to be moved onto the rookie list

Now that isn’t happening we have options with that spare spot as mentioned to leave it open for SSP summer train ins battle it out for it

I love it how you have a thought and "EXPECT" it to happen even though you have zero influence on the club!

The cupboard has been pretty bare in terms of true captaincy options unfortunately. I think it ends up coming down to Jy, LMac & Larkey again this year.

Parker a possibility if he really wants it but either way with or without the title I expect him to be an influential leader in the group.

Sheez another one who would be worthy but can't see the club putting the burden onto him this early in his career.
Pretty clear cut, Luke Parker is the most experienced, respected and best leader at the club. Let him have it for two years while sheez and G.W learn the rope's.

2022 draft it was which small/medium forward should we draft out of George, Konstanty, Clarke and Hotton with our 2rd rounder.

Two years on - one game between them (started as a sub), 2 delistings and one traded instead of being delisted. Not great reading.

Just the title suggests north have to take unders. Wtf
its tough right.
Draft picks are only worth what the strength of the draft is.
So if there's only 2 elite players, the top 2 picks are worth a lot.
In a year where the top 10+ is pretty strong, pick 2 is almost worth the same as pick 8 depending on what you're looking for.

If we're being offered "unders" we keep it you'd think.

Exactly.

FOS fits beautifully in our mix imo.

in fact, im now hoping for this outcome, as Richmonds board have basically cemented him into their best 22 and have been fobbing over him for the last 4 weeks.

The attention has now turned to Lalor and Smillie.

Would would certainly be an......interesting... combination to go with.

In FOS we'd land our version of Josh Kelly in the end. Even if he's not the absolute best player in this draft, he absolutely suits what our midfield lacks. Gut running, exquisite foot skills, outside class, versatility to move mid, back, forward.

In fact, I could see him playing half back next year in the same apprenticeship as Sheezel and McKercher.

We can afford the risk on him.

I've run all opposition posts through an analyser, a collective mind dump if you will.

Here are the results.

North Melbourne
OUT: #2, F1, F2
IN: Gary Rohan, #30

Richmond
OUT: #30 (held by Fremantle)
IN: #2, North Melbourne F1 & F2

St Kilda
OUT: St Kilda F1
IN: St Kilda F1*

*Denotes "just came along for the ride" trade

I think there is a mix currently where next years first round pick is criminally under valued and this years picks are criminally over valued. It concerns me what our F1 has been getting valued at currently. Next year F1 could easily be W.Duursma which covers off keeping Zane happy and athletic swingman.
