It looks like Josh is leaving no stone unturned to give him the best chance of getting a list spot - I hope he gets one!

Thx Jen2310 - belated happy New Year to you - I monitor some other club's sites and when I do, I appreciate even more what you bring to our site - from what I've seen of other club's sites, no other club has anyone that comes close to you - your preparedness to share with us all your insights and observations is very special - you really are a star and we're so lucky to have you.

So I think we know they're back at training on Thursday right?

Do we think there'll be an open training on Friday?

Wouldn't mind taking the family down there on a nice hot day to watch the training while they're on school holidays

Nah not Friday. Likely there will be a session on Saturday though. It happened last year when we started back on a Thursday post Xmas

Why not take them on Thursday if you're able to?

Much easier to see the players when it's not open training & full of thousands of supporters & in my experience, it can also be easier to get autographs & photos if you ask nicely.

Thanks Jen
What's your best guess for next week? Family coming to MLB for the AO tennis and we're keen to watch a training session or two.

Back to regular programming next week
Monday, wed and Friday 9:30

I’ve been up in SYD for the Test cricket and for past three mornings have seen large groups of GWS players running and training in/around Centennial Park, looking very fit and motivated.

They'll be on mission this year and could just become the team to beat.
Pies, Giants, Lions, Blooze fighting for this year's flag.

Agree, they're the team that I think will be the hardest to beat - all going well. They have a similar profile to us and if they can keep their best side on the park for long periods, then they can beat anyone. Surprised to see a report last week that they have the best rated depth - like us, key weakness seems to be their key forwards - interesting to see if Cadman kicks on this year.

Hogan almost back to career best form with Himmelberg and Riccardi in support and Cadman as a developing player doesn’t seem like much of a weakness to me tbh.

And there’s this other guy called Toby Greene. All Australian Captain. Kicks a few goals. Goes alright. 🤣

I mean, the discussion was surrounding key forwards, but ok.

I probably will

"Able to" is treading a fine line.

I'll probably need to rip out a classic Aussie tradition to make it Thursday but it's pretty much a perfect time being 12.45. Means I don't have to get up early and take on peak hour traffic just to watch them train.

Can then take the kids to visit their Great Grandmother in Richmond around the corner.

Perfect weather too. Hopefully they can get their Premiers 2023 Guernseys signed.

edit: Wait, are they back at AIA this Thursday?

Yes, they're back at AIA on Thursday.

4 more days until the resumption of training. I've been re-watching the season games in the meantime lol Usually when I'm eating Dinner -- and the cricket.

Josh Eyre with the younger brother, Ryan. Who is currently part of Essendon nga. The boys did some training today.

Ryan Eyre? He should get sponsored by a particular Irish airline…
